I use safeguard on Astoria Blvd. they have been fine, no problems. I think all these places are the same. They get you in at a low rate and then will jack it up each and every year...because what are you going to do, move all your stuff somewhere else? More on reddit.com

We got a life storage unit in September 2023 for $135/month. Then in January 2024 they brought it up to around $200. Now we got a notice they want to bring it up to $315 in July.
In less than a year they want to double our rates. Anyone else have this experience with them?

My experience with Public Storage is that they keep raising the rates, but their introductory rates stay low. So if you can you should get a family member to get a unit in the same facility at the lower rate and move to that one. I've done this once so far. I don't mind rent going up incrementally but they ruined it when they jacked it up $100 right after an $80 hike.
