I don’t think you will go wrong with either one to be honest. One thing to note is that LVP is not actually scratch resistant. You can still scratch them and it is pretty easy to do. Put the felt pads on all of your furniture. More on reddit.com

There isn't much Bamboo in our market and it's very rare to sell so I can't guide you on either product. I will however recommend staying away from 1/4" and 3/8" engineered products. Those are at the lowest end of the line. Maybe 1/2" is out of your price range but I've never seen a product that I would even call mid-grade that runs in those sizes.

You been hoodwinked…anything 12mil wear layer and thicker is more than adequate for residential traffic. To be clear, and sweet Jesus this is like the 5th post this month saying ‘what thickness wear layer should I get?’ wear layer thickness ONLY describes who long the wear layer will remain under regular foot traffic(think clean shoes going up and down.). It does NOT tell you how scuff, scratch and dent resistant your floor will be. A 22mil wear layer will scratch from a dragged furniture leg just as easily as a 12mil. The only reason wear layer is marketed so heavily is because manufacturers know consumers like warm and fuzzy numbers that makes them think they’re actually making an informed choice without getting any actual education on the product. So they’re in a pissing match to put as thick a wear layer as possible on their floors at as low a price…at the expense of milling. Life proof and all big box private lines are a gamble…each model comes from a different factory, some who turn out a decent plank and some that will churn out non square bullshit. No way of knowing. You’re not going to get a guaranteed quality product shopping the big boxes, floor & decor or ll flooring. If their price points are what you’re willing to spend and no more, then get what you like the look of, they’re all gambles. If you can spend more, then look to independent and regional dealers…name brands like mannington, Karndean, shaw and Coretec put out consistently excellent goods that are milled properly. Most of them have that fancy wear layer too…they aren’t immune to the feeding frenzy bullshit over thick wear layers that only mean anything in commercial applications. More on reddit.com
