You’re going to want a miter saw to make all the repetitive cuts. I wouldn’t use a table saw, I’d use a circular saw if not a miter. — Ensure you use a piece of scrap to tap in each piece, I’ve seen people hammer right on the lip and ruin pieces before learning the hard way. I don’t remember what they’re called, but get the $8 or so tool that you hook on the last piece of the run and can tap the bottom with your hammer to get the last piece in tight, it’s usually located next to the tapping blocks they sell in the flooring department. (I. Can link a pic of mine if needed at a later time). Use a white mallet (rather than black) so you don’t mar your new floors. GET KNEE PADS! Depending on what your laying your floor on top of, your new flooring may be tough to fit under your door trim, easiest way is to nip the bottom of the trim with an oscillating tool. Ensure you’re staggering your seams with each piece, there’s nothing worse than seeing all the seams in a line. Oh yeah and GET KNEE PADS! I’m no expert, but I did 2 rooms at my house this year and they turned out great, once you get a system down it starts to fly. I had help with the first room, then did the second myself in 2 nights a couple hours each. Edit: I redid my bathroom at the same time and put the vanity on top of the new flooring. April 23, 2024 - This is also a great time to seal any foundational cracks if found. Sweep the area thoroughly and only install the flooring on a clean, flat, and dry surface. LifeProof tiling can be laid out in three different patterns: brick pattern, point to point pattern, and plank stagger pattern (this is what I used).

October 23, 2019 -

I really like the look of the floor but I've never worked with click-lock flooring before. Do you need a table saw with a finish blade? Jig saw? Can you install it under the vanity? Thanks all!

I used a speed square and a utility knife for cutting ends and full length rip cuts. I used a oscillating multi tool and knife for notching. I have both a table and miter saw, but didn't see much need for either of them. Score and snap worked well for me, just make sure you score it deep and then snap it over your knee or some other fulcrum.

Installing Lifeproof Vinyl Plank Flooring - Our DIY Guide - Exquisitely Unremarkable
December 5, 2022 - If you already have an old wood, tile, concrete or linoleum floor and it's level, you should be in good shape. Just vacuum or wash the floor well and let it dry completely before installing the new planks over it. We were not so lucky. The reason we had wall to wall carpet in that room, is because it was an old covered porch, converted to interior space more than 50 years ago.

September 23, 2021 - I’ve installed lifeproof many times and don’t usually see that gap. Like others have said, check for debris and for pieces of the locking system that may have broken off and gotten lodged in the groove. My suggestions would be, put adjustable spacers against the wall so that the planks are straight and supported (because a walls aren’t usually straight) and then use a piece of the actual flooring and a mallet, as your tapping block.
