Hi everyone!
Located in USA and looking for a king-size hydraulic lift-up storage bed that doesn’t totally sacrifice aesthetics. I’d love something neutral-colored, upholstered, and minimal!
Allewie and SHA CERLIN on Amazon have great reviews (I'm pretty sure it's the same product), but I'm worried they'll look super cheap IRL! I'm eyeing the beige color that looks more like grey in the pictures.
Must-haves:
In-stock and ships to USA
Good under-bed storage height (ideally for suitcase storage)
Supports my 14" thick mattress
Clean, simple design in a neutral-colored fabric (no white velvet!)
Budget: ideally <$600
Bonus: compact enough for small apartments and not crazy expensive
Beds I like but are sold out and/or out of my price range:
Wayfair - Wade Logan Brooklinn Upholstered Platform Storage Bed (perfect all around, but king size out of stock)
West Elm - Emmett Pop-Up Storage Bed
Sundays - Dream Bed and Cloud (pricey and unclear delivery date)
Saatva - Halle Storage Bed from Saatva (gorgeous, but way out of budget!)
Any suggestions or even good/bad experiences with products listed would be super helpful. Thanks so much!
ETA: Location, budget, and links!
Does such a thing exist? I need to fit my luggage set (outer suitcase is 31x21x13") under my bed since I don't want to waste space or look at them in my tiny apartment lol. However it looks like most lift-up beds don't have quite as much storage (i.e. Ikea MALM was less than a foot).
Also, since a queen is 60" wide, I'd still have at least 39" of unused space beside my luggage so I'd like to use that space for drawers.
I found this on Amaozn which is essentially what I want except the storage is too short for my luggage (and also has a random divider in the non-drawer section).
Any suggestions? Greatly appreciated.
Looking for a queen size bed that has a spring mechanism to lift up for storage underneath.
Don't see a lot of "high quality" ones.
I see:
-
Bottom of the barrel: random stuff on Amazon
-
Middle of the road: Ikea Malm ($550)
-
Unknown "higher end": Expand Furniture ($2,500)
I heard Ikea Malm breaks down. Little to no reviews on Expand Furniture but it's 5x the price.
Considering just building my own if I can find anything sturdier than Malm with decent reviews.
Anyone found something sturdier than Ikea Malm?
