So I have been looking at these https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BV62VFTF/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A189E82WYG6F8A&psc=1 lately. My current situation prevents me from purchasing anything that can't be delivered, so no thrift store (not that the ones here are that much cheaper honestly), so I need something to be shipped. This would fill the role of coffee table, laptop workspace/desk, dining for 2, and a table for card game night. It seems to fit the bill, but I have no experience with these type of lifting coffee tables. Does it look like a decent one? Are there any design flaws I should look for in general? I have seen two main styles, hydraulic piston and rotating latch, are either better or worse? For my situation reference, after a breakup, anything we had bought 50/50 was taken out while I was at work, so having to restock on a budget.
Several stores in the Dallas area had this cheaply. I was watching for the 3 piece coffee table set to come down in price a bit, but decided to get this one instead.
