What colors go well with sage green?
Is sage green a warm or cool color?
What aesthetic is sage green?
My SO and I have just got the keys for our first house and we're focussing on designing and updating one room at a time. We're doing the front room first, a snug sort of space with a woodburner and alcoves for the window and a TV alcove opposite.
I'm very keen on a sage green wall behind the wood burner with neutrals on the other two walls and then a darker sort of pinkish/oatmeal/brown on the wall opposite the burner. Lots of rattan/wood/woven items eventually and a vaguely skandi feel.
We've been sofa shopping and after falling in love with then rejecting Loaf sofas for the eye-watering price tag, we've found a similar offering in DFS for over half the price: https://www.dfs.co.uk/patterdale/ptd14apdv
The design and squish factor is what we're after, but we're a bit stuck on the colours. A lot of them are pretty bold (though after looking in-store, the product pics are a little oversaturated). It's hard to figure out what would go well with the planned colour scheme for the room. I've seen pink working well with greens and oatmeal colours, but I'm wary of something bright pink - I don't want to make the space too feminine and I'm not really drawn to pink when I wear it. However, the colour pop could be exciting. The cream is extremely light and would probably be a disaster as we've quite outdoorsy and SO can come home quite grubby! The mushroom one is paler in person (greyish with a hint of cream) and has caught my eye, but I also worry about the room being washed out with a sofa too pale. I like the idea that with something more neutral like the mushroom one, I could do smaller, interchangeable colour pops with cushions/blankets. SO likes the idea of the blue one (again, it's a milder grey-blue in person) but not sure how that would work against green.
Any advice or inspiration pictures of these sort of colours schemes greatly appreciated!
