You can't charge the Logitech Crayon directly from your iPad, if that's what you're trying to do. Lightning is not bidirectional. Any cable or adapter claiming to be as such is not to spec and could potentially damage your hardware. Don't bother.
Why is there no Lightning male to male cable?
Why can I not find a Lightning male to Lightning male cable? I see there are and do have a Lightning male to USB-C male. But that does not solve my issue. Does such same-sex Lightning cables (including female to female) exist? If so, where do I order? More on discussions.apple.com
iPhone Lightning to USB-C cable in OTG mode - not possible?
The iPhone doesn’t use the term “OTG” but yes, there’s a difference. Standard Lightning to USB C cables are for use connecting the iPhone as a peripheral to a host. To get the phone to act as a host, officially you need the camera adapters. Be sure to get the “Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter” for USB 3 speeds rather than USB 2 speeds. Yes, it’s USB A but that’s worked around with cabling. I’ve done this, it works well enough. There are unofficial Lightning cables to USB C listed as “OTG” for use with external DACs on places like AliExpress; I have no experience with those so I can’t say how well they work. Why is there no Lightning male to male cable?
April 11, 2018 - The reason is that it would serve no purpose. You can't transfer data over it. You can't use one device to charge another (the connector on the phone cannot supply any current). A Lightning cable is not a passive cable.
