Why is the lightning to HDMI adapter limited to 1080p?
Does Apple make lightning to hdmi adapter… - Apple Community
Bought an official APPLE lightning to hdmi cable - very dissapointed
4K on Lightning to HDMI adapter?
smh. Typical Apple.
More on reddit.comI'm stuck away from home and my laptop broke so I can only use my phone to access my media files and streaming services.
The wifi here is really spotty so I thought I could get a lightning to hdmi cable but there's not much info on their quality.
Apple sells a lightning to HDMI adapter but it's limited to 1080p? seems crazy when iphones with lightning port can shoot in 4k? and hdmi cables of 4k or higher are ubiquitous and cheap.
Does anyone know why this is? is there any certified 3rd party manufacturers that make higher resolution/bitrate solutions for playing from iphone 12 pro to a tv with HDMI ports? casting is not an option due to terrible wifi here. I'd be downloading files completely before watching.
Any other subs worth asking in? the only audio visual sub I could find is exclusively for commercial users.
i bought it for gaming. I was aware of the latency, which is more or less barable, but the image quality is nowhere near native 1080p, it looks like an awful youtube video. And it was very expensive. So my advice is to not buy it.
