Happy to be pointed at the standard explanation for this if it's a common thing and I've somehow missed the solution.

My iPad is logged in using EMAIL1, for iCloud, backups, apps, music etc. I have the Apple TV app on my smart TV, logged in on EMAIL2 (to take advantage of a free Apple TV subscription offer from my ISP).

I want to keep my iPad attached to EMAIL1 for most purposes, but have it logged into EMAIL2 just for Apple TV.

Theoretically, it looks like I could use Family Sharing, but at the point where according to the Apple Support pages I should have 'choose an invitation', after clicking on the invitation email, there are no invitations to select in the sheet that pops up. I have no idea why this is.

So is there a way I can attach my iPad to one Apple account for most things, and another purely for Apple TV?

Go to the Apple TV app and login with "Email2" (don't do it in settings app)

SOLUTION: After half an hour on with Apple support, this is the solution apparently. Log out of EMAIL1 on any Apple device (not necessarily the iPad, in my case) On that device, do factory reset (yay!) Log into it with EMAIL2 Set EMAIL2 as the Family Organiser Add EMAIL1 as a family member Log out of that device as EMAIL2 and back into it as EMAIL1 EMAIL2 should appear as a family member on all the Apple devices logged in as EMAIL1 (including in my case, the iPad) As the support person commented 'it's a bit tedious'. Still making my mind up whether I'm going to do it...
