The tv can go between the two windows on a low stand. Get curtains that go all the way to the floor. Bamboo shades could be a nice layer to the windows as well. A couch should float in the room across from the tv and adjacent to the fireplace/ door with space between to walk. Make sure to carve out the space using an area rug appropriately sized with your couch. A console table or something like what they had before on the wall adjacent to the front door and behind the couch is perfect to drop keys when entering the house. More on reddit.com

Are you worried the TV will be too high? You do not really have any options from what I can tell. It's an open room and every wall is utilized by large walkway or door ways. You could go for a Mantel mount . I unfortunately don't have any solutions unless you redesign the room layout. More on reddit.com

My brain is starting to boggle and I need some advice!
Recently bought a house and I'm trying to decide the best layout for the living room. I've narrowed it down to two options:
Option 1: sofa across the long wall, TV in the corner. I don't really like the TV in the corner and it feels a bit far away, but is probably more practical.
Option 2: TV on the short wall. More practical for watching but means we can't have a corner sofa the sofa is out in the middle of the room.
Any advice welcome!
