told myself i would bid this up to $30 and ended up taking it up to $47 whoops, i dont even know the capacity of it but its got to be more than my 5 qt #8's right? saw something online that said 6 qts, but maybe thats wrong?
I'm looking at buying a Lodge enameled Dutch oven but I'm having trouble deciding the right size to buy. I'm stuck between the 6 qt and 7.5 qt, and don't really have much of a way to see them in person. I'd like to save some money and not buy the 7.5 qt if there's no reason for it. I'd mainly be using it for things like making pork for Cubans or braising other large pieces of meat. Is this reasonably achievable in a 6 qt? I understand it depends on the size of the cut, but given limited storage space and price, I'm curious if 6 qts will work. Thanks!
We recently bought a 12" lodge skillet. It looks great. We've had a duchy pot for a while now and wanted something to use instead of the ducy pot lid as a frying pan (nothing wrong with using the lid we just wanted something a bit bigger diametre.
The website and the amazon listing all say the cooking area is about 9" but it's easily 10 as you can see.
Is there a lot of variance?
The only reason I ask is we don't need a 10" cooking area so if we could go for the 10"skillet and get a 9" cooking area we'd be fine with that. And it would be lighter and take up less space. Could anyone who has a 10" measure and pop their size on here if they wouldn't mind.
tl:dr
would you mind putting a pic with the actual cooking area of your 10" skillet so I can see how big it actually is. I'm doubting the online measurements. (Or just measureing and telling me).
