I recently bought the Logitech G915 which is a strong competitor of the New SteelSeries and Razer keyboard. While there are many options in the market not every keyboard is good at that price like some SteelSeries are too much pricey. This one has the perfect less noisy keypress buttons that I am looking for also the build and overall use are great for me. Answer from ReadSharp1148 on reddit.com

r/keyboards on Reddit: Are Logitech keyboards any good????
September 22, 2024 -

I'm pretty much a logitech fanboy, I use the Pro X headset, Pro X superlight mouse, and the G613 Keyboard...

The problem is the keyboard, the ghosting issues it has just makes it unusable for me, and I have to type alot because I tend to rewrite my notes in OneNote

I'm semi tempted to buy the Pro X keyboard as well just to have my entire desk full with logitech stuff, but I wonder if it would be pure shit like my current keyboard.

To add, I even bought a cheap royal kludge 60 keyboard for like $20, and it feels more amazing than the $100 G613.....

What I look for in a keyboard:

  • convenient media keys

  • I like number pads, but I keep a 60% keyboard around when I play FPS cause my mouse does hit my KB now n then.

  • I like convenient media buttons and other things

  • wireless

  • Budget, prolly $150

  • logitech would be nice, but now I'm having doubts about the brand...

  • has to be black, and minimalist, not a big fan of RGB stuff

r/LogitechG on Reddit: My verdict on the Logitech Gaming Keyboards
November 20, 2024 -

continuing my thread on https://www.reddit.com/r/LogitechG/comments/1gqpzcw/does_logitech_gaming_keyboard_is_the_only_one/

After thinking for some time, i would like to bring my verdict on the Logitech Gaming Keyboard

TLDR: Disappointing and probably malliciously deisgned to maximize out of warranty break

Keycap designed to be mechanically fail

If you take a look at how Romer-G and GL switches designed, they are designed to have small plastic latching point, hopefully broke upon detaching keycap for cleaning after some time. This always happening to all my Romer-G switches: G910, G613, and G413, which i broke some of the attach points.

This is the example of Romer-G attach contact: https://ae-pic-a1.aliexpress-media.com/kf/Se5bbb95a04ba4417ab230400fe902e36O/For-Logitech-G910-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard-Original-Replacement-Keycaps-a-Full-Set-Replacement-of-113-Keycaps.jpg_.webp Romer-G switch: https://ae-pic-a1.aliexpress-media.com/kf/Sbcd7e2c61a4b485390fee8b216c84d78I/4Pcs-Romer-G-Switch-For-Logitech-G810-G910-G413-G513-Pro-Mechanical-Keyboard-Repair-Parts.jpg_.webp

Why use 4 small and weak plastic latching slots rather than one big strong joint such as Cherry-MX? In the other hand, the Logitech GL switch is also very worrysome with 2 weak attach point prone to breaking as well.

Endurance

All the logitech keyboard that i have in the past 10 years, all has issue with some switches breaking just short after 2 years, which is outside of warranty. The issue is not only happening to me but my sister as well, especially those using Romer-G Switches.

As the time of me writing this, i have been using my Logitech G813 with GL switches since August 2022, and now the N, P, and Enter key is double clicking or unregistering the click, which causes a lot of pain for me as programmer.

Got one time the G613 with Romer-G switch have the Tab switch broke completely not registering at all just 2 months before the warranty void, allowing me to claim warranty on the product.

Conclusion

So after all those observation, i would like to conclude:

  • Logitech designed their product to likely broke just several months after 2 years time to make their fanboy buy new one

  • Logitech designed their product to be unrepairable/difficult to repair with no spare part available

  • Logitech designed their product to likely broke with user-error with weak mechanical strength on the attachment point

  • My verdict is this is malicilously designed

Hello all of you,

First of all I know this question is subjective, however some of you have personal experience they might want to share.

So the question is I am looking into buying a new keyboard that I will bring into the office and keep there. I have the mx master 3 mouse and love it, however I have no idea what a good keyboard is for this occasion. I do type a lot and I atleast need the arrow keys aswell. What is your experience with the logitech keyboards. Especially the more work related once.

Why would anyone in their sane mind go with Logitech for a mechanical keyboard? You are better off getting $30-$40 mechanical keyboard on Aliexpress and you will get better quality hardware and support then with Logitech. For $40 you can get mechanical keyboard with hot-swappable switches, 2,4Ghz / Bluetooth / USB C connectivity, per key RGB, all keys anti-ghosting... Logitech keyboards cost 5x more and you get 5x less quality and support. And like... buying a Mechanical Keyboard that's doesn't have hot-swappable switches just makes no sense nowdays. Logitech is so out of the game and I don't even think they realize how far back they are left behind in keyboards market now.

IDK but good mechanical keyboards are pricey. Like you can look at something and think okay that costs $175, but then you realize there's a color for the case or a certain type of switch or some kind of plate or keycap or optional module or type of USB cable you want and it's getting up to $500 with all the extras. Now Logitech will not sell you those kinds. They don't seem to have any hot swap switch capable keyboards and the MX mechanical might look like it can work with a standard-ish keycap set, but the stabilizers on a couple keys (space and enter iirc) aren't in any of the usual places. Otoh several other bands have a few inexpensive prebuilds, and many expensive options. I'm personally happy enough with a MX mechanical mini, especially compared to the g413 carbon I used for a while. But it's in part because I can switch to a zoom75, Keychron, 8bitdo, or this silly no-name(?) cheap Tezarre when I want.

I really want to get a Logitech keyboard to use for my iPad/iPhone/Windows desktop. This would be my first Logitech keyboard, so I'm not sure what the experience would be. After some research, I'm debating between Pebble Keys 2, MX Keys Mini or the newly-released Pop Icon Keys.

I type a lot day by day. Right now I'm making do with a wired Microsoft keyboard (not sure what the model is), but I wanted to type on my iPhone/iPad when I'm working outside my home (right now I'm just using the built-in keyboard, which is a massive pain). I also have long nails, so typing with smaller keys is harder for me. I've also used and loved the feel of the Apple Magic Keyboard; the only thing I didn't like about it was the Mac keyboard layout. I'm hoping typing on the Logitech keyboard would have a similar feel to it (travel and sound), but this is not a must.

I've watched a lot of review videos for the Pebble Keys 2 and MX Keys Mini, but could barely find reviews on the Pop Icon Keys. My first choice would be the MX Keys mini, but due to budget constraints, I'm interested on how the Pop Icon compares to the MX Keys Mini since the Pop Icon is much cheaper than the MX Keys Mini. Also, if there's not much difference in typing experience between the Icon and Pebble, I'd rather get the Pebble since it's cheaper.

Do you have any advice? I'm open to other recommendations as well if you have any. Thanks!

I’m looking for a compact wireless keyboard I can use when I travel for work.

A little overwhelmed by the options! How does the Pop Icon Keys compare with the Mx Keys Mini? Love the more colourful look of the Pop Icon, but I tend to be fussy about my keyboard quality! How does the typing experience differ? Any other notable feature differences?

Are there others I should be considering? I have a mechanical keyboard at home, but thinking light and quiet is better for the road.

r/logitech on Reddit: Have Logitech wireless keyboards gotten any better?
August 11, 2024 -

I used to have a wireles keyboard similar to the MK540 wireless, it was sold alone for $60 in the late 2010s.

I'll add the model # when I can. I loved it save for one issue. While gaming, say in WoW, all of a sudden it would stop responding for a couple seconds, then immediatly do all the action i preformed at once, cause me to die and even wiping a raid occasionally (main raiding tank).

The other issue was both the keyboard and mouse would become delayed, supposedly due to logitech recievers at the time having trouble with interference from cords and other devices.

Have these been cleared up? Its been honesty 3-4yrs since this was happening, been using a wired keyboard ans wireless mouse ever since with no issue.

No, they somehow managed to get worse the past 4-5 years. Don't waste your money on a Logitech G515 at least.

Few days ago I purchased Logitech G TKL X Pro Lightspeed , and so far I'm pretty happy with it. Being a developer, keyboard is pretty important device to me. The keyboard which I had before Logitech was Corsair K70 (ancient version with red-only LEDs) which I had for 10+ years and finally felt some urge to replace it. After lots of thoughts and research, Logitech G TKL X Pro Lightspeed was keyboard of my choice. Now, what features are important to me? It has to be mechanical keyboard It should be available in ISO layout in my purchase region (Europe). Not ANSI, not some weird layouts with huge delete key, or cursor keys sticked to ins/del/home/end/pg block etc... Standard US letters engraved, without my local ones Separate multimedia keys, with some form of separate volume controller Background keys lightning, preferable RGB, but single color is fine too (white or blue) TKL size Wireless, either multi-bluetooth, either bluetooth + some other form of wireless connection (I use same keyboard for my desktop PC and notebook) It should't have any issues on Linux It should be solid built, premium keyboard, not some anonymous cheap Chineese brand Now, that was conditions which all has to be met to purchase new keyboard and that's exactly what this keyboard is offering. I picked tactile version (brown switches) and I'm quite happy with it. Maybe I need like 10% more force to press the key compared to my previous keyboard, but it's fine. I'll get used to it. Typing feels solid and pleasant, sound is nice. It works great on Linux, without official Windows-only GHub sotware. I even installed solaar which works fine with this keyboard, allowing me to change keys color. For desktop connection I use Lightspeed with dongle, bluetooth for my notebook. Both connections are solid, without any problems, connection issues or delays. Works like it's connected with the cable. Does it have some downsides? The only downsides so far are: Caps lock / battery indicator leds are well hidden behind F keys so I need to lean over to actually see it. Bad placement, they should be placed somewhere else. Lightspeed / bluetooth connection keys are lit when pressed, but few seconds later after connection is established, they turn off. By looking at the keyboard, I'm not sure is it connected to desktop PC or notebook. Pretty steep price of ~220€ (tax incl.) in my country, but I's not a problem if it will last for 5+ years That's all. I'll give the overall score 4.5 out of 5. I hope it helps.

Last night the "w" and "s" buttons stopped working on my 6 yo generic keyboard, while trying to escape some zombies, lol. So I need to get a new one. Since I already have a logitech g502 hero mouse and a g332 headset, I thought about getting logitech keyboard as well (also easyer with no extra software for the rgb). My question is which logitech keyboard would you guys recommend (for gaming with customisable rgb for dark room, with numpad, mechanical?) Also, I never had a mechanical keyboard but heard that they are much better than the membrane ones like my current, any chance there would be one that's not too loud? Would be looking for a top price of £120. If need more details just ask. Any help appreciated.

Tl/dr: need a keyboard with rgb for gaming under £120

r/logitech on Reddit: Keyboard and mouse recommendation for work

Hi guys, I need recommendations for a keyboard for a cubicle office setting. I am currently using the pop key and mouse. I love it, but someone spilt their drink on it. So now I’m looking for one but there are so MANY different options. This it’s what I would prefer in a keyboard: -not too loud or clicky. I am a quiet typer, but I don’t want to distract my coworkers. -not a flat keyboard, I love the feeling of typing and pressing the keys -10 key and calculator button, I work in the numbers dept so I use that ALOT

mouse: -shortcut buttons on the side, hopping websites a lot

BOTH: -wireless please! -if they can both connect to one connector USB, that would be perfect. No worries if not

LOOKING @: -MX MECHANICAL TACTILE: love the look, and the feel. Scared it might be too loud when typing -WAVE KEY: love the keys, arm rest, the wave. But it doesn’t have a calculator button -LIFT: such a unique mouse, seems easy to use. Love the color options (PINK) -MX master: love the options on the side of the mouse, sleek and smooth,

Are these good options? Which one is better for office use? Are there any other options?

I've been using Logitech G413 Carbon keyboard for a few years now but sometimes the keys double click or I have to literally hit the keyboard or else the input won't register, it happens completely randomly, one day it works fine and the other it doesn't. So at this point I just want to buy a new better keyboard and I think I want to go with Logitech again but which one? I don't want to pay a ridiculous price for their newest G Pro X TKL but I also don't want to go so cheap that the quality is terrible. I was thinking about buying the original G Pro keyboard. And let me note that I don't want the numpad. I have it on my G413 and honestly it's pointless, I never use it and the only thing it does it force me to tilt my keyboard because there's not enough space on my desk.

Should I go with G Pro or maybe there's a better choice (can be from other brands too)?
