C920 still worth it in 2019?
Absolutely it is, especially if you're using it as a face cam in the corner where the sharpness of a more expensive camera is going to get mostly lost. If you're streaming your face as the primary content, like you're doing a "Just Chatting" channel, okay you would probably want to upgrade.
The big thing about the c920 is, most of the superior quality alternatives are way, way more expensive. Like, you can get a DSLR camera that will output a better image, but you're probably talking about spending at least $300-400 (and that feels low to me).
Bang-for-the-buck, the c920 is almost impossible to beat.

The prices havent doubled on their official website. It's the same price but they are out of stock. Yes, that's the MSRP, Manufacturers' Suggested Retail Price. so if the price is 1 thing on 1 website WHY IS IT NOT THAT WAY ON THE OTHER? Welcome to the free market economy. Demand exceeds supply, so those who have enough to sell increase prices. It's basic microeconomics. With so many people having to work from home, many with desktops, there's a demand for webcams. I use a 2015 macbook pro -Specs (2.2 GHz intel core i7) (16 GB 1600MHz DDR3) (Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB) Yeah, a five year old laptop isn't a great starting point. The cable is not USB 3.0. I believe this is just marketing speak that it will work with a USB 3.0 port, because usb 3.0 is backwards compatable with 2.0 devices.
