So did a bit of looking around the reddit for camera suggestions, and these two came up regularly. But after looking at several threads, I'm not quite sure what the differences are in people's experiences. Looking at a comparison on their amazon pages, c920 has "better" light correction" to the c922's "good," so assume there's one difference. The c920 has a standard lens while the c922 has glass, which is another. But I'm the sort of person that likes to know how things have worked once they're in people's hands.

I'm fine with spending the extra on the c922 if its more worth my money. My lighting situation isn't ideal at the moment but it isn't bad in my opinion, and changes can be made to improve it.

I know there have been camera discussions, but most that are relevant to me seem to be at least a month old, and updates and such can happen in that time.

c920 is better. My 5 year old c920 performs better than my 1 year old c922 with the same lighting. The c922 is a BS marketing product with a 'streamer camera' title that makes you think you're getting a better product. You're not. Yes, it offers the higher framerate at 720p, but the image quality is terrible. a c920 with a good lighting setup is your best bet! Also, for anyone having the issue with camera settings resting on reboot, Try and find an app called 'CamControl'. It's a third party app that lets you manage Logitech c920's. I use this, and it lets me save a profile that loads every time you launch it. Never lose your settings again. I've been using it for years. Alternatively, go find Logitech's new G-Hub gaming software (beta). Does a better job of managing camera settings. Was just released last month.

The c920 has a bug for me (and others) that when you start up your computer you have to unplug it, plug it back in, then reset the color correction on the camera every time. It's just routine for me now but I saw numerous posts online of people complaining the same. No fix at the moment. I'd get the c922 just to hopefully avoid that.

Hey, the Logitech C922 is a more presice than the C920. It has a faster frame rate, better autofocus, and a better microphone. Both the C920 and C922 webcams are compatible with Windows 8 or later. More on reddit.com

Are the newer Logitech webcams better for streaming than the c920?

You don't need more than a C920 and some good lighting for streaming.

The C922x can do 720p60, so it has a higher frame rate than the C920. It also has a better low light sensor, so if you don't have good lighting, it won't be a blocky mess.

The C920s is just the C920 really, don't bother with this.

If you can spend the extra money or can find a C922x on sale, then the 720p60 would be better (sorta) for streaming than the C920.......only for the frame rate.

.....all those numbers, my god...

TLDR: The C920 is perfectly fine for streaming. Support it with good LED lights. If you find the C922 for comparable prices, then buy that one instead.
