Hello folks, i have a problem since the Windows 11 Updates which released on Thursday the 10th August.
Everytime i attach the cam to my notebook, the windows audio service stopps and cant be started until i draw the cable.
I talked to the windows support and after a few minutes testing around, they said i should ask the manufacturer of the cam. So here i am.
Has anyone else the same problem?

I have been onto support with Logitech, very frustrating that their Logitech Capture software which is what we need to use to use the webcam for recording is not compatible with Windows 11!!
So now I have a useless webcam.. any suggestions on how else I can use it to record?
> Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware.
> The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
Let's start with something simple.
Right-mouse-button click on the Windows "Start" button.
Choose "Device Manager".
Expand the branch for your web-cam.
If you do not see it, look for "other devices".
Double-click on it.
Choose to uninstall the device-driver.
Close the window.
Restart your computer.
Windows should install a non-corrupted version of the device-driver.
Thanks, Thomas. Let us reinstall Windows once, keeping everything. This eradicates any issue, with Windows.
Please try a repair install as the next step. It keeps everything, including apps and files, and reinstalls Windows.

Update: Logitech cams now works on w11 =)
TL:DR : If you have problems with any Logitech product on Windows 11; don't waste time trying to make it work on the Windows 11 version offered by Microsoft from their website.
Some Logitech Products -> Windows 11 22H2 Version Release = Incompatible
Logitech Products -> Windows 11 21H2 Version Release = Compatible
---------------------------------
After trying everything; I discovered that the logitech products incompatible with windows 11; are actually incompatible with windows 11 version 22h2.
I did not risk installing v1 21h2; I installed the first release of 21h2 and everything worked normally.
In a little more detail, I will tell you my story.
About a year ago; I had windows 10. I configured my BIOS to allow me to upgrade from windows update to Windows 11.
A week ago I did a format from USB where I installed windows 11; to my surprise; my logitech camera was no longer working. C922 PRO HD STREAM (A very expensive camera in Argentina to throw it away.).
I tried many things;
-
I deleted the drivers countless times;
-
I let windows install my drivers
-
I installed my drivers from Driver booster Pro
-
I installed logitech drivers supposedly compatible for windows 11 ( they did nothing )
-
I installed logi capture; it is not compatible with windows 11; I tried adding dlls to see if I could make it compatible but nothing worked; I tried compatibility troubleshoting and it didn't work;
-
I installed lghub; it didn't start either; then I tried different methods (like adding dll's and opening the user agent manually); I was able to get it to start; but it never read my camera.
-
I installed logi itunes;
-
Installed camera drivers
-
Activated virtualization
-
Activated core isolation; deleted by hand with CMD the drivers that caused conflict ( https://www.reddit.com/r/LogitechG/comments/q0zncs/logitech_drivers_preventing_core_isolation_from/ )
-
Deactivate core isolation
-
I went back to windows 10 and the camera worked; from windows 10 I upgraded by windows update to windows 11 ( Big mistake, lots of corrupted files for not doing a fresh install, blue screens everywhere )
-
I called Logitech support and talked to a brazilian in different languages both, (hand, your camera incompatible windo 11)
It was then when I discovered that in the past, I had another version of windows 11; then through Rufus https://pureinfotech.com/rufus-create-bootable-windows-11-usb/ I managed to install the version I had back then ( I did not dare to try V1 of 21h2 because I did not want to format for the 4th time in the week in case it did not work .
I leave you this information so you do not go through the same as me; since in different occasions I read that some users had Logitech Webcam working in windows 11; then I kept trying methods; but of course, in reality it was working because they were in version 21h2.
So, if you want to enjoy windows 11 ( not its latest version ) and your logitech products; I recommend you to install the previous release version.
If you're like me and found your webcam no longer working after an update and Windows giving you a driver error, this may be able to help you. I'm using an old C525 webcam and the software and driver on Logitech's site hasn't been updated since 2012, so here's my workaround to move away from their driver.

Open Device manager
-
If your problem is like mine, you'll see your device under Universal Serial Bus controllers with a little warning icon on it.
-
Double click on the device to open the properties and under Driver, click Roll Back, after this step you might find that your device now shows under Sound, video and game controllers. If this works for you, go test out your audio in Settings>System>Sound>Input.
-
If your device doesn't show up in Sound, video and game controllers, then go back to the properties, select Update driver and select Browse my computer for drivers and followed by the option Let me select from a list of available drivers on my PC and then select USB Audio Device. If this works, test your input like in the previous step.
-
Test your camera, I just did this in the Camera app, if it doesn't work, in Device Manager, Under Imaging Devices, you should see your device there with the little warning icon, repeat the same instructions in step 4, but this time you'll choose USB video driver - your device should now appear under Cameras in Device Manager and should be good to go.
Hope this helps you.
Remove integrated cam in device manager, deleting driver at same time. Run HP Support Assistant and that will pick up integrated Camera and install the software for it. Reboot once done and it should work fine.
Anyone else seeing issues with Windows 11 and webcam drivers?
We have a standard deployment of HP ProBook laptops (440 G10s) and Logitech c922 webcams. I’ve now received tickets from a half dozen users in the last 3 months that have black screens on their webcams (both logitech and integrated). Both webcams refuse to start. Drivers in devmgmt seem fine, with no errors.
Seems like the fix for them has been a factory reset on the laptop, which resolves the issue but is a hassle.
Anyone else seeing these issues?
Hello RandyMcDermott, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;
I understand that you are having problems displaying the Logitech C615 camera in Windows 11;
I checked the Logitech website and there are only camera drivers for Windows 10 and not Windows 11;
Maybe that's why the camera works normally in Windows 10;
However we can try some solutions;
What exactly is the model and manufacturer of your graphics card?
To find out which one, right-click on the start menu and go to Device Manager;
Click (>) Display Adapters to expand the section;
Inform the model and manufacturer of the graphics card (Inform if there is more than one);
Try updating all your HP drivers using HP SupportAssist:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/hp-support-as...
Try downloading the latest driver for your camera (Even if it's for Windows 10):
https://download01.logi.com/web/ftp/pub/techsup...
Check if the problem still persists;
Hope this helps, see you soon!
