So I ordered a G533 headset without realizing just how massive the Dongle would be (stop laughing). It's as big as your average USB drive, and as such, it stick out about three four inches from a computer. I essentially bought it exclusively for use on my laptop, which has a bad audio jack. Is there any way to connect to my computer with it using my laptop's built-in Bluetooth, a third-party dongle, or is the massive dongle (again, stop laughing) mandatory?

Fortunately this is not a big deal for me as the basic features (microphone, volume scroll, mute button) works fine without the software too. In summary I believe this will work perfectly with a G533 headset. Hello ! Just as the title suggests. Will be working from home and need a USB headset but the dongle / bluetooth etc wont work in the Ubuntu based platform I will be booting into. I am fairly certain it might not work but any suggestions ? I have the G533 Headset

No. The USB port on g533 is for charging only.

I got a G933 for cheap, but without it's USB dongle, it works with my G533 one, but doesn't let me change anything in GHUB. My question here is - can I turn on/off Surround sound and all these things somehow?

Hey u/Maximum_Anywhere462 , Thank you for reaching out to us. You have to use the USB receiver which was given with the G933 gaming headset. If you are using the other headset receiver you might be not able to customize the headset with complete options. However, you can update the G HUB to the latest version and check in G HUB settings to turn off the surround sound. You got a G533 dongle working with a G933? That's an awesome bit of info to know! As for GHub not working, you could try using the older LGS software. If that fails, try looking around on ebay for a G933 dongle, or a G935 dongle, they work too. I've personally used my G933 dongle on my G935's because that'll give you access to the Dolby Surround settings rather then DTX. Hope that helps a bit
