r/headphones on Reddit: Just got the Logitech G535 and I have to say I'm disappointed
December 9, 2024 -

The headset itself seems really nice for gaming with it's general comfort, the audio quality isn't the best and it has no noise cancelling but as someone who doesn't really need any of these things I've mostly looked at comfort reviews for the headset which looked quite high, so I bought them and they do seem comfortable, but the size of the thing is just too small, I don't know if I just have a large head or the thing is just that small but I couldn't get it to fit unless I really press it down or have my ears sticking out the bottom by a tiny bit, it honestly sucks since anything with better adjustments from Logitech would be the pro X which costs vastly more for the wireless version which got me really disappointed in this product since up until now every Logitech product I bought was really high quality and comfortable to use and just seeing this barely adjustable mess makes me sad, and even more is how basically nobody talks about it online other than 1 reddit post a year ago, I honestly even feel as if though I am missing some hidden size adjustments that could add that extra centimeter I'm missing but for now it seems like I'd just return it (law states that I can return it as long as the product isn't damaged which it isn't since I literally only used it for an hour)

r/HeadphoneAdvice on Reddit: Are the Logitech G535 a good headset for gaming?
January 15, 2025 -

Yesterday I had to give my headset, a Logitech g432, since the microphone died on me and I couldn't talk with my teammates.

Fortunately, it was still under warranty, so I got a coupon and can get a new headset from them.

They don't have that big of a selection, but I saw they have the Logitech G535 for 60€, and from the review, it doesn't seem too bad.

Does anybody have any experience with it? How are the sound quality and the mic quality?

I live in Italy, and have to buy it from that store, Unieuro, and don't want to spend more than 60€.

I'm also not a big audio expert, so as long as the quality is good, it has good spatial audio, since I mostly play games with it, and a mic that doesn't sound horrible.

As a user of these headphones, I can say that they are very comfortable. I have been using them for over a month now, and I can say that they are really cool, but there are some nuances. Let's start with the pros: Everything is wireless. All fabric is removable, unlike the 435. The microphone is automatically muted when raised at the hardware level, so there will be no situations where you forget to turn off the microphone and people hear what they shouldn't. In G-hub, you can configure the equalizer and presets for it in any program and switch them either automatically or manually. For example, in Hunt: 1986 has a preset for clear footstep sounds where all low frequencies are removed so that footsteps can be heard more clearly from a greater distance, and in Helldivers 2, on the contrary, I added bass so that explosions are even more juicy, and on the desktop there are other settings, and all this changes automatically without my participation. In the same program, I can see the charge level and approximately how long it will last, so you will always know when to put them on charge and there will be no moments when the headphones run out of power right in the middle of the game. Cons: Sometimes there is interference due to the radio channel, either when someone phone calls or who knows what else. The microphone is worse than the 435, but not by much. That's all. I think for €60, these are excellent headphones in my opinion.

I use Logitech G535's and Windows Spatial with Dolby Atmos for Headphones. I generally feel like the audio is good. I can hear spatial audio, like someone knocking on a door to my left, rear, and rear left, easily and clearly. I've never felt like the audio was lacking.

So, this sub, and r/headphones, and r/audiophile leave me wondering what I'm missing. If I were to buy a pair of Sennheiser HD 560s and simply plug them into my Alienware laptop with a Realtek audio chip, is that actually going to produce a discernible improvement? What if it was a set of HD 800s with an Amp/DAC?

I've read a lot of threads on r/headphones (and other sources) comparing audio tests of HiFi audio sources (lossless) vs. lossy equivalents (MP3, etc.) and a lot of commenters/upvotes simply can't discern meaningful differences.

From the perspective of an ignorant novice, I feel like my headset should be something like a 3/10 in terms of audio fidelity, and a Sennheiser 560s would be something like 7/10 and the 8xx would be 10. Instead, it feels like my 535's actually get me to 6 or 7 themself, and the improvements possible are not nearly as substantial as I'd expect.

Please educate me. Can I measure or test my 535's in a meaningful way I can compare against a better product? Are the improvements not nearly as objective as I think?

If I were to purchase 560s and experience an expanded soundstage that I can appreciate, is it fair to say that the step from 535s -> 560s would be similar in stepping from the 560s -> 8xxs + Amp/DAC?

Headset not playing any audio

Hi there! Let's troubleshoot your G535 headset. Please try the following steps: First off, make sure your headset battery is fully charged up. Next, plug the USB receiver directly into a USB port on your computer's motherboard. Just to be sure, avoid using any USB hubs or those ports on the front of your PC case. Now, let's check your Windows settings: Make sure the volume in your application isn't muted and that your headset volume is at least at 20%. Open up the Volume Mixer by clicking on the volume icon in your system tray. Make sure all the volume sliders in the mixer are cranked up to 100%. Then, set your G535 as the default audio device: Right-click on the volume icon in your system tray. Select "Playback devices." Right-click on your G535 headset and choose "Set as default." Right-click on the G535 again and click "Test" to see if you hear anything. It's also a good idea to update your headset's firmware: Download and install Logitech G HUB from here: https://www.logitechg.com/innovation/g-hub.html Open G HUB, select your G535, and go to "Settings." If there's a firmware update available, you'll see a blue "Update" button in the top right corner. Lastly, if you can, try testing the headset on another computer to see if that helps narrow things down. If these steps don't resolve the issue, please visit our support website or contact us directly for further assistance.

r/HeadphoneAdvice on Reddit: Logitech G535 not good? Need advice
November 22, 2021 -

Hello,

I usually buy gamings headsets for convenience. Recently, I decided to dish out a little cash and get a wireless headset so I no long have to run the wire over from my PC.

A long time ago, I had a Logitech G430 headset and loved it, but unfortunately the headband thing that keeps it on your head broke and I needed a new one.

After that one, I decided to go with the Hyper X Cloud Stinger because it was affordable, and after a meager 1 or 2 years of using it, the mic is damaged and will give loud electric noise to whoever I am speaking. Audio wise, it was comparable to the G430, though I didn't like the buttons as much. Sometimes, if I can find the sweet spot, the mic will work consistently; but thats only until I move the mic, which basically eliminates the flip to mute feature.

So now, I just came home with the G535 and it seems there is a low hissing I can hear from the headset, and its driving me nuts. I can't find any way to fix it. Not only that, my friends said the mic is strange and is not quite as crisp as before, though they couldn't put there finger on it.

Is this because it is a wireless headphone? Is there a fix for this? If not, what headset should I get? I like to game, and am not a 'audiofile'. Perhaps I just never used the right headphones, but the music sounds the same to me either way 99% of the time.

What should I do for good audio quality and mic quality? I am hoping for a mic that won't break, even if I shout into it or frequently use the flip to mute feature.

Any advice would be super helpful! :)

I was watching a review for another logitech headset when the reviewer mentioned that Usb 3,0 is worse for wireless headsets and affects the sound quality, I was wondering if there is something to that.

Does it matter whether I have the headset attached to a 2.0 port via usb extender or attached to a 3.0 port on my USB hub attached to my monitor.

December 7, 2021 -

I recently purchased the Logitech G535 LightSpeed Wireless Headset and when it works, the audio is pretty great. But I've found that it will just periodically starting breaking up, getting staticky or spitting out slightly off-key sounds. I've found that it will pop in from time to time when playing Halo Infinite, and will start doing it constantly if I try and play Halo: Reach (MCC Collection).

I literally can't find a single post online that helps me in the right direction. I already paid 100$ for this headset, so I'd really like to know what troubleshooting steps need to occur either with my PC or with my headset.

Literally any help is appreciate at this point. Thanks in advance.

My G535 just stopped making sound. It's connected and showing a full charge when I open the G Hub software. Windows also shows it as being paired in my Bluetooth settings. Adjusting the volume doesn't open the volume display like it normally does and the light on the headset keeps going back to blinking after turning it on and playing the regular "on" sound. My Playback device is also still set to G535.

anything else I should try to re-connect?

r/logitech on Reddit: I spent $90 on a G535 headset that is problematic.
August 30, 2023 -

So I've had a G502 Lightspeed mouse for quite a while. I really enjoyed it so when my old headset started to die, I decided to get a Logitech one. Decided on the G535 since it was on sale and within my budget. When I'm in Discord, my friends can hear whatever is playing on my desktop through my mic almost perfectly. I have sidetone disabled in GHub but it still plays through. Also, the volume is very quiet. Except when I go to the device settings and turn off audio enhancements. Even then it could be a bit louder. And then when I get on my computer the next day, I have to turn audio enhancements off again.

Anyone have a fix for these issues? I am on Windows 11, the drivers are up to date, and the USB is plugged into the motherboard.

r/LogitechG on Reddit: A small question about the G535
April 29, 2023 -

Hello everyone, I bought the G535 today and it is my first Logitech product, I am still learning a lot about the products. So I have a doubt about something that is new to me: is it normal for the volume scroll to be "infinite"/continuous?

I've always had headsets that when I reached the maximum or minimum volume the scroll would stop rotating and on the G535 I saw that this wasn't the case and I confess that I thought it was broken as the box had already been opened in the store but I only noticed when I got home (I noticed this because it had fingerprints on it when I opened it and some packaging was missing)

But apparently everything is ok, I tested the microphone and sound and there were no problems.
