Logitech G935 vs G535 LIGHTSPEED Wireless: Which Headphones Are Better? - RTINGS.com
April 5, 2016 - While both sets are comfortable, the G935 are better built, and you can use them wired via their 1/8" TRRS audio cable as well as wirelessly. On the other hand, the G935 have a much shorter battery life.

r/LogitechG on Reddit: G935 vs G535?
May 12, 2023 -

Recently my birthdays came around and I was looking at getting a new pair of headphones, and decided on the G535's since they were on sale. I have been using the G935's for several years and assumed the G535 would be a nice upgrade.

However, they seem to be very dull and quiet compared to my G935's, and don't have any form of surround sound option in the GHUB app, only windows sonic. Did I make a mistake in assuming the G535's where an upgrade? And if so: is there a pair you would recommend? or a EQ setup that gives more OOPMH?

Logitech G935 review: Slight upgrade to an old favorite | PCWorld
March 18, 2019 - That said, the G935 is a solid update. Logitech’s toned down the worst of the G933’s design excesses, upped the bass presence significantly, and kept the rest pretty much the same.

Logitech G533 vs Logitech G935: What is the difference?
November 1, 2018 - The headset is very good sound-wise; especially with the surround sound on. However, out of the box, there were problems with the headset sound working with the Logitech G hub. It Got fixed in a later patch but it took a while.

r/LogitechG on Reddit: Would the G435 be comparable to the g935 for office headphones? Does it suffer from the same power switch issues?
July 5, 2022 -

My G935 headset is dying; bad connectivity, flip-switch to mute is going out, microphone getting muffled, etc. Also at this point I've taken it apart and cleaned the power switch contacts more times than I really want too or feel should need to be done for a $150 headset. I'm considering getting a new headset and the G435 looks decent at a better price; I don't really need the surround sound the 935 provides and certainly don't need the battery killing RGB. I like Logitech's build quality (stupid power switch aside) and the audio is really good (to my ears, I'm not buying a $500 set of headphones because I don't want to get acclimated to that quality).

So long story short -- how's the sound/mic quality compare between the 935 and the 435? And does the 435 have the stupid multi-circuit power switch or did they fix that design flaw?

This is a followup for anyone who finds this -- I skipped the G435 and went for a G535 which arrived today. The reason I did this is that the 435 doesn't have a flip-up-to-mute mic-boom, it has a mute button, and I'm really used to flipping the boom to mute -- the mic array is in the headset itself. The 535 does have a physical mic boom which mutes on flip. Pro vs 935 This headset is significantly lighter and smaller. My I've been using the 935 (and it's series siblings) for years and while I guess I've adapted to the weight, this is so much less intrusive. The headset also clamps harder, but because it is lighter that's not really an issue. I like the elastic replicable band across the top -- its a wider band so it's not as noticeable. The power toggle is just a button, not a switch, so hopefully it won't wear out the way the 935 does; but only time will tell there. The dongle isn't as large which is nice because I use this with my laptop, the large headset dongle always felt like I'd snap it off if I bumped it too hard. The earcups are fabric from the factory, no more headset-headsweat issues (or at least reduced) Neutral (for me) vs the 935 The ear cups aren't as large, this isn't a big issue for me personally but could see for folks with larger ears that it might be a problem. I'd say it's fine for the average user, but if you feel at home with the Ferengi you might pass. There are only three user controls on the 935; power and volume. Personally I'm fine with this -- whenever I tried to locate the mappable buttons on my 935 i'd never get the right one so I just never used them. If you used them, this may not be good for you The sound quality is not noticably different for me, but I'm not a music snob. Meetings is fine, streaming is fine, the bass may be a little bit less punchy but honestly it's like going from a car with oversized subs to a more balanced out sound stage anyway. Lacks the 7.1 surround sound, but honestly I don't really game with headsets enough anymore to notice it. Negative (for me) vs the 935 The 535 doesn't come with a 3.5 mm aux input on the dongle. I tied this into my switch stand at the office so people wouldn't hear me game at my desk during my lunch break. It's kind of a bummer that this feature ever existed, because if it didn't I wouldn't look for it in every single headset I ever buy. The 535 also doesn't have a 3.5 mm aux input on the headset, which is a bummer for the same reasons above Unlike most Logitech devices, this doesn't have a handy compartment for the dongle when travelling. The battery appears to be non-user replaceable. I'd like to think that the battery is going to be what causes me to buy any new electronics (though that's not always the case) I do factor in how easy it would be to replace if the device lasts long enough for the battery life to become an issue. The flip-mic mutes but it doesn't integrate with teams in the same way, the 935 would automatically mute/unmute teams when i flipped the mic, the g535 does not.

April 28, 2019 -

(TL;DR in the end)
This review I posted on LogitechG sub too, but felt like sharing here as well to hopefully help others making a better pick!

Hi, there are probably tons of posts regarding reviews and comparisons vs the G933 but I felt that I might as well say what I think about the G935 and compare it to its older brother. Feel free to ask me if I missed something that you want to know or if I should clarify something.

Before I get going I wanna say that I love logitech products. Used them as long as I can remember. I've got the G910v2 keyboard, the G502 mouse and the G933 headset together. It's great and works great. I've used it for several years and before the G502 mouse I had the G303 which also worked like a charm until - I, myself - broke it.

I'll start with the positives and will compare to G933 here:

+Good sound quality, more bass than the g933 for people who like that.

+Leather earpads and headpad feels great, better than the G933.

+The internal headband is metal that feels better to use than the plastic G933

But that's about what makes the headset better. The physical/visible product. There are far more negatives that would make me rather recommend the G933:

-The sound quality might be good, but it's WAAAAY clearer on the G933, especially for gaming.

-The headset doesn't come with dolby atmos - only DTS surround software. Let me tell you... DTS is absolutely horrible to use. The amount of bass games like CS:GO produce with DTS active is insane. More on this below.

-Microphone is barely upgraded at all, which could be expected to be better on the newer headset. It's pretty similar.

-The G935 isn't compatible with Logitech gaming software (LGS), which in my opinion (and a lot of others too) is far superior over Logitech GHub. G933 is compatible with LGS and the soundquality with using LGS is also better than GHub.

So to get to more in-depth on the sound in gaming (tested on CS:GO):

On the G933 I'm using dolby atmos surround sound. It is great. I always hear where enemies come from, I always hear someone throwing nades and flashes. I've tried DTS on the G933 and it's terrible. The G935 however uses DTS 2.0 which is better than the original DTS but still sounds terrible, increases bass to the point where you don't hear anything else when nades explode or you shoot some particular guns.

The spacial awareness is absolute garbage on the G935. I couldn't perform with it like I did with the G933. Maybe it's only because of the GHub software though. I did try manually installing windows drivers to the G935 and installing Dolby Atmos that way, which made it sound sooooo much better but it still lacked clarity over the G933 and the built in atmos in LGS.

What could make this a better product/what would make me buy this if it's remade?

*I would love to see the use of Dolby Atmos again. It's so much better for gaming and spacial awareness in games. As I said before, I tried using Windows generic drivers paired with Dolby atmos instead of GHub and DTS which was WAY better.
Ditch DTS. It doesn't work for it's purpose.

*Cut down on the bass. The bass in the G933 is enough for gaming and music with the use of the EQ to bass-boost if wanted.

*Keep the leatherpads but maybe have an option or ship clothpads with the headset aswell. This makes it way more personalized.

*Cut the crap with GHub. It ruins the good and easy experience. It also ruins the experience for mice-usage. Can't flip through multiple profiles anymore whenever I want to. They are only game/application-based...

All in all (TL;DR):

The G935 for me is a solid downgrade when it comes to gaming performance. The sound quality is on par or a bit better when it comes to music or watching youtube. But if you're like me and want to actually get good performance in a gaming environment, don't get the G935. Get the G933. It's way better. Software- and hardware-wise.

Dolby atmos and the older Logitech gaming software is really good and comes with/is compatible with the G933. DTS and the new Logitech GHub software is absolute garbage and there is no way to get Dolby atmos or the LGS to work with the G935.

Don't buy the G935 - buy the older and better brother G933.
