r/LogitechG on Reddit: G733 Battery Problems
December 16, 2020 -

Short version: I have now had 2 headsets not hold a charge. WTH am I doing wrong?

Long version: I purchased this model mostly for the wireless capabilities and for the strap instead of cushion. I have never gotten the headset to hold a charge more than 3 hours. It also has never ever notified me of battery life before completely shutting off. I've literally tried everything I could think of: charging it in multiple USB ports and outlets, taking the battery out, using it with Ghub and without... I exchanged it for another set and got the EXACT same issue. I wish I was kidding.

Before I take it back AGAIN for good, is there something I'm missing? I actually like how comfortable it is, but I just can't use it plugged in. It takes up two USB ports when I do that which is ridiculous.

i was using my logitech g733 headphones, and i charged them, the went from 20% to 50% in a minute. then i checked the battery, it said 50% and a second later, the app is telling me that it’s at low battery. then, i click the power button, and it also says 20%. how does it lose battery that quick?

r/LogitechG on Reddit: G733 battery life question
April 4, 2023 -

Hello, I had a G733 headset for like 4 years, but they stopped working all week ago. I was happy with them and I bought g733 again and connected them. I had to change my dongle (it looks kinda different) also I had to update ghub which I didn't update at all and used a 2020 version lol. Everything works fine but I have some strange issue. The battery life seems to be infinite, previous g733 could hold for like 2 full days, and a couple of hours at night so I guess around 28, 30 hours(I don't use leds and my volume is like 65%). But these ones played for three days, I think maybe it was 45 hours and ghub still shows 48% of the battery. Is the program wrong? The headset says the same number of hours when I click the power button once. I am so curious right now

r/LogitechG on Reddit: Problems with the Headset G733 battery (or maybe the app?)
August 10, 2021 -

So, i recently bought an G733 and came with no charge, put it on the PC and left for hours, came back with full battery and i started using it.

Then i logged off for the night with the battery at 80% and i plugged it for the next day. When i booted up my pc, the battery was at 54%, i found it really strange, left it charging for a couple of minutes (about 45 i think) and was still at 54%, decided to reinstall the app and boom, battery started showing as 100%.

So now comes the weird part, i just left for a 1h nap and left the headset plugged in again, when i woke up and came back to the pc it was at 54% again!!! Same thing, tried to leave it charging, no luck, reinstalled the app and it showed the "true" battery percentage.

How the fuck do i deal with this? will i have to reinstall the Logitech G Hub everytime i charge my headset? Anyone else has ever dealt with this??

Thanks in advance

I currently have the 7535 and looking through the specs, I don’t see a difference other than the wireless range. Is there anything so special that makes it $50 more?

The g733 is a very nice, very comfortable headset. The microphone quality (was) good and the audio quality (was) good, and the little rgb accents are nice, without being to gamer ish. The low latency wireless is great on account of the lightspeed connection. However. Output volume, in my opinion, is unacceptably low. Particularly for games where things like listening to footsteps etc are critical (nods at pubg) I'm 40, I have some industrial hearing loss, I need more gain from a headset. The hardware can do it, but the drivers won't let it. Recent ghub patches have totally broken the audio quality on both the mic and the speakers. All of the knobs and dials in ghub for adjusting surround settings and eq and whatever are just garbage. A good headset should just work, not color the sound and provide good flat response across the frequency range. If a product needs those kinds of settings to sound good, then it's not a good product, either that or logitech is playing on consumer ignorance and creating 'perceived value' by adding these garbage features to ghub. My bigger gripe is that the headset ONLY works with the lightspeed dongle. You can't use the headset for anything else. It has no 3.5mm jack for a cable and it doesn't have Bluetooth. For the premium price you pay for this headset, I think that's pretty bullshit. There's also no wireless charging cradle or anything, which again for the price point is not great. The g733 is also a pretty old product now, I've had mine for like, I dunno 3 or 4 years now? It's probably time they retired it. The strap wears out faster than I think is reasonable. Fortunately pretty good quality replacement ear cups and headstraps are readily available on aliexpress. Like basically every logitech product, the rgb LEDs they use are complete horseshit and some of the chips lose a color here and there so you end up with an annoying spot that's not the right color mix because logitech wanted to save like half a cent on the production cost of your device. Most of my gripes with the product are outside of your ability to do anything about, however I personally use Equalizer APO to get more volume and a flatter response, unfortunately this adds latency, which sort of defeats the purpose of the lightspeed connection but at least I can actually hear my fucking games. I would personally not buy the product again, its a shame because I do like it, I like how it looks and it's very lightweight and comfortable but the products many shortcomings just make it a bad buy - at a premium price point. It's probably the logitech product that I own that I am most disappointed with, and I have gripes with all my logitech devices. My g502 lightspeed, my g915, my powerplay mat and my webcam. It's all logitech, and I have issues with every single one of these very expensive peripherals, but the g733 is the one that irks me the most.

IF you really need wireless I have 1 suggestion... And its gonna sound controversial.. But hear me out... I've had Logitech 733. Logitech g pro.. Steelseries... And all the other big brand.. One day I got a notification that the rig 800 was on discount.. So I pulled the trigger... It looks funky as Shit. But it's AMAZING..!!! The battery lasts forever, theres NO software..!!! 4 eq modes, siderne.. And they and comfortable as fuck.. And last bit not least.. The sound.......... FANTASTIC.. !

September 10, 2023 - I have been using it for non-significant periods each day for about 20 days now and I haven’t had to charge it yet and GHub shows that it’s battery 🔋 is about 80% every day and sometimes even increases you 90%, which seems like a bug.

October 12, 2023 - I can pick up subtle audio cues in games easily. The wireless range is great too. I can walk around my house without losing connection. Battery life is solid - I get about 29 hours of use before needing to recharge.

Logitech G733 Lightspeed review: Lightweight, flashy, and functional
The Logitech G733 Lightspeed has a long battery life and its wireless 2.4GHz connectivity works up to 20 meters away from your PC or console. It also looks stunning, coming in four attractive colors, each with dual front-facing RGB lighting zones. The wireless Logitech G733 Lightspeed is a very attractive headset, but not in a plush, luxurious kind of way—more of a casual way befitting the headset’s $149.99 base price tag. How so? There’s no plush leatherette or metal to be seen, but the cups are sculpted with tight angles to bestow a futuristic look and RGB lighting ripples down the front sid

It takes about 3.5 hours. However, Logitech indicates you can use them while they charge. Other outlets seem to confirm this. So, play away…while they charge. I got each of the kids a pair for Christmas. They work very well so far and the kids like the wireless feature a great deal.
