Hi Team,
I've seen a few posts but no solution. my headset is crackling, it s connection appears unstable and continues to cut out sound trying to even listen to video but is almost unusable playing games such as COD. do you have any solution? this headset is almost to the point of no return.
While not quite "SOLVED", I will consider this post as on-hold pending the result of a replacement headset testing by DulaPeeps12.
My conclusion thus far:
A wired Logitech USB G633 headset had no problems on the linux computer. Confirming that there are no major issues with the linux USB system.
However, on the same linux system, the WiFi Logitech USB G733 Lightspeed continued to exhibit degraded and crackling audio after approx 6 to 7 minutes. Also, it continued to do this after each time the headset was powered off and on again. It did not have this issue on a Windows 10 computer more distant from other WiFi sources and out of the center of several WiFi and Bluetooth signal paths.
Current solution: Swap headsets for the time being, until further information is available and additional research can be done.
I just purchased a G733 Lightspeed headset and I am curious if there are any known issues where after about 13.5 minutes (give or take) it starts crackling on sharp sounds (cymbals, gunshots, consonants) and then progress to an almost total garbled distortion. I will be trying them on another computer soon to try and isolate if it's a problem with this old computer I'm running them on or some other issue.
Also, about how much would a replacement WiFi dongle run?
On a side note: I really like these so far. Some of the negative comments made in reviews, complaining about the audio are hilarious. I mean, this is a middle of the range cost wise and the audio beats my old G933's into the ground. For a 40mm driver, I find the sound a little better than I expected. I have a Logitech USB Wired headset that has the 50mm drivers and sure, it's better. But, the WiFi version of those runs at least another $50. And the G733's are really comfortable. The elastic support band adds stability and distributes the weight far better than just a thin rubber pad. Doing away with the swivels was also a great idea.
Excellent design.

Two days ago, my G733 headset began to make crackling and popping noises and it hasn't stopped since. It makes one every few seconds while using it. I've tried all of the fixes I could find online and nothing has worked.
Has anyone experienced this and how do I fix it?
Hey everyone, I’m having an issue with my Logitech G733 headset and I’m hoping someone here might have an idea or has experienced something similar.
Every five minutes I get a loud distortion/crackling noise in the headset. The only way to stop it is to turn the headset off and back on again. After that it works normally for a few minutes… until the same noise comes back again. This loop just keeps repeating.
I contacted Logitech support and received a replacement unit, but the replacement has exactly the same issue.
I recorded the noise and can share the audio here if it helps. The music in the background of the recording is copyright-free and taken from YouTube’s free audio library.
Has anyone dealt with this before or knows what might be causing it? Any help is appreciated!

Hello everyone, I recently bought a logitech g733 headset about a month ago. Just today I found a BIG issue. When speaking with sidetone turned up at any level other than 0, my voice will crackle through the headset speakers. This crackling is not heard by others and is specifically in the headset. Changing usb ports and computers did not fix this. Sidetone is basically useless until I can find a solution. Im quite disappointed in this issue, I really loved this headset but now that I have to speak without sidetone, my voice just sounds muffled and I cant hear how I speak properly. Would anyone know of a solution?
I have scavenged the internet for the info on how to fix the crackling, turning off, and distortion, but I need help getting everything to work.
I admit moving the USB to the motherboard instead of the USB port on the front of my computer helped IMMENSELY, but the issue is still present overall. I have done everything the auto-generated response says and even some tips others have had. I will take any and all help.
(Yes I tried this without the G hub software and reset the headset. Pretty much all advice has been used up except to get another wireless headset LOL)
Have you tried to - Disconnect the headset, uninstall both ghub and all the g733 entries in the device manager(with deleting the driver box checked). Reboot and install LGS instead of ghub.

This might not apply to you, but sometimes my wireless router causes crackling and disconnections. What I did was unplug my router for a minute, then when it's back on i went into the settings and change the 2.4 to another channel (if it's on a low channel, change to a high channel & vice versa) I also make sure any devices near my computer are connected on 5 instead of 2.4 (my phone, tablets, consoles, etc) Worth trying if you've done everything else already.
To anyone searching for the same issue as I have been struggling with, I had periodic crackling and distorted audio after about 3-5 min of use. The audio would persist for a few minutes before returning to normal and repeating the process. Logitech issued a replacement and the new headset still had the same issue. I performed a clean install of windows and still no luck. Finally before tossing the headset I inserted the detachable microphone and all my audio issues disappeared. It worked fine for nearly a year without the detachable microphone until this week. Nearly drove myself insane.
Just got the g733 about 2 week ago and today its started making crackling noises even when i max charge. Normally after these crackling sounds the headset then turns itself off. Does anyone know why this might be happening?
I have a problem that every time I have an online class by zoom or I am simply doing specific things like playing tarkov, some electronic and robotic sounds are heard as interference and they even turn off, I have seen that more people have this problem, I have tried absolutely everything, for example reinstall GHUB several times, try to change it from usb 3.0 to 2.0, try to use it without GHUB, try to load them to the maximum, everything. But nothing works.
After around 5 to 10 minutes the headset sounds like it's playing NES botleg soundtrack, switching audio input or restarting headphones just gives me another 5 minutes of interrupted playtime. Has anyone experienced this before?
Steps done so far with no results:
-pc restart
-re-pairing with the dongle
-updating ghub
-updating some other sound related drivers
-upgrading to windows 11 xD
-recalling the original pair of headphones, on the news set, same stuff
-turning off different frequencies on my wifi router.
-plugging the dongle into different usb ports
Anything else i can try to resolve this or is the G733 is just a big failure?
I am using a Logitech G733 Wireless headset and from time to time I notice this strange popping noise that goes back and forth from both cups on the headset. Now I don't know if it's because I have some other blue tooth devices connected as well or what, but I don't know how to fix it and would love if someone can help me.
I've updated all drivers and software. I've changed to multiple usb ports. I've turned off all Logitech software. What gives? About ready to return them. It's literally a brand mew build
