Does anyone here use the 'Logitech Combo Touch Keyboard Case with Trackpad for iPad'? What are your thoughts on it?
I'm thinking about upgrading from my iPad Air 2nd Gen to an iPad Air M2, but the idea of dropping 399 beaver tails (aka Canadian dollars) on a keyboard makes me do a double-take.
The Logitech Combo Touch looks pretty decent and goes for about half the price of the Magic Keyboard.
So, I’m curious—what do you all think about the Logitech keyboard?
So, I just got an M2 iPad pro (my first ipad) and want to buy a keyboard case for it.
What is everyone's thoughts on the Logitech combo touch vs apples own magic keyboard?
My GF has the combo touch for her ipad air, so I have a bit of hands-on experience with it, but I have not used the magic keyboard in person.
I am really trying to weigh the pros and cons of each. But struggling to make a decision.
Things I like about the magic keyboard:
extra USB port for charging
smaller footprint when standing (more usable on a plane/in the lap)
I've been told the keyboard and trackpad are better
Things I like about the combo touch:
Function row/media keys
Detachable keyboard
case provides protection to the ipad.
can fold much further to use with apple pencil (this is not dealbreaker for me as I don't plan on getting an apple pencil right away, and probably won't be using it all that much).
Does anyone have any experience with both? Which do you prefer? Is the function row/media keys that useful on iPadOS?
The main use case i will be using the iPad for is prototyping in swift playgrounds/details pro, occasionally playing no mans sky when its available, and watching videos in bed.
A few annoyances I had with my GFs combo touch:
a few times on my GFs ipad air, the trackpad stopped scrolling/working properly. I've had to kill an app and start it up again to fix it. I have no idea if this is just an iPadOS bug or an issue with the trackpad itself.
the volume buttons are hard to find on the combo touch because they are completely covered by the case and replaced with a + and -
