In Logi Options+ you can assign a keyboard shortcut to a key or mouse button. These have recently stopped working for me. It seems to happen when my computer wakes up from sleep, but I don't have much data on that because it only started happening this week.
This is a problem with shortcuts built into Logi Options+ as well as the ones I have configured myself. Examples:
-
The emoji key (built-in shortcut for Ctrl+Cmd+Space)
-
The spotlight key (built-in shortcut for Cmd+Space)The spotlight key on my computer's built-in keyboard works fine.
-
Any custom keyboard shortcut I set in Logi Options+.This goes for my mouse as well as my keyboard. And when it's in this broken state I can't even set/change keyboard shortcuts because some of the keys are simply not detected when I'm inputting the new shortcut.
When it's in this broken state, pressing any of the keys/buttons that have shortcuts assigned to them is like pressing the last key of the shortcut. Example: pressing the spotlight key (Cmd+Space) does the same thing as just pressing the space bar. Manually typing the keyboard shortcut works fine.
I've tried restarting Logi Options+ and turning the keyboard on and off but that doesn't fix it. So far the only fix is to reboot my computer, but that's impractical every time it sleeps.
I'm not sure what to try next. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Device/connection details:

Connected via Logi Bolt USB receiver, not bluetooth.
MacOS 26.3.1. Getting some weird behavior all of a sudden with my Logitech devices (MX Master 3S + MX Keys for Business).
Tried launching the calculator with my dedicated key above the number pad, and it didn't work. Opened Logi Options+ and it showed both devices disconnected and in need of a fix. (see screenshot as an example). "Fixed" them and restarted, then it took a moment for the app to recognize they were connected via bluetooth. Still no luck with the shortcut key. Tried remapping, etc.
The app recently updated to 2.0.848900 and doesn't seem to find the newer update when I check for updates. Can I manually update somehow? Any help is appreciated.
Edit to add: I deleted and reinstalled Options+, it's still at the same version but now doesn't find my connected devices at all. (Tried re-pairing bluetooth, still nothing). Super fun.
My K380 doesn't work properly. My device is a MacBook. I can't use cmd + c (copy), cmd + v (paste), and cmd + space (spotlight). Left cmd doesn't work on all three, and right cmd works with spotlight but not copy and paste.
The keys individually work fine. I can still use the c key, v key, and space key. Both cmd keys are also working, as I can clearly use it to zoom in and out (cmd (+) + and cmd (+) -), select all (cmd + a), cut (cmd + x), and undo (cmd + z). So keys are not the issue. Just three shortcuts (copy, paste, and spotlight) don't work as far as I can tell.
I've tried:
-
Disconnect (and forget) the keyboard and reconnect it
-
Restart the device
-
Turn the keyboard on and off
-
Try the problematic shortcuts with the MacBook's built in keyboard and they are working fine
-
Reset the keyboard with (esc, o, esc, o, esc, b)
-
Try using in with other device (iPhone) and same problem occurs
-
Reinstall Logi Options+
-
Restore defaults to all keyboard shortcuts settings on System Settings (even though I never modified anything)
Hey, I just got the Logitech MX Master 3s and paired it with my M2 MacBook pro. I can’t seem to get the desktop left/right to work. I am running Ventura.
I tried using a keyboard shortcut and setting it to control+arrow key but it only allows me to use use the keys control, option, and command. It does not allow me to use any letter or arrow key
I use my Logitech MX Key S keyboard exclusively on my MacBook Pro. The 'Logi Options +' software has the keyboard set to 'Always keep the Mac layout'. The keyboard works good, apart from the 'home' & 'end' keys, they don't do anything, I saw a couple of suggestions online, but to no avail. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Hey,
I can't seem to get my Logitech keyboard to work with my Mac.
I wanted to use a shortcut (Home/End) which apparently is fn+left/right arrow. But strangely my fn key seems to be linked as shift+alt.
I already tried resetting the keyboard to default, deleting Logi options, removing from bluetooth devices and rebooting my Mac. I also looked into the system preferences keyboard/modifier if it’s set to fn. I wanted to look up in the "set up bluetooth keyboard" as well but it cannot find the Logitech keyboard even though it's connected.
Anybody has an idea what I can try? My internet research hasn't given me any useful tips so far.
Edit: btw I’m working with a K780 right now
Hello,
I'm trying to reassign a keyboard shortcut for my Logi MX Master 3 mouse for Mac, to one of the buttons, but the Logi Options+ software isn't allowing it.
It offers the option to input a key combination, but will only recognise the modifier key and not the other key I press with it.
For example, I'm trying to set one of the mouse buttons to act as QuickLook in Mac Finder, which is Command+Y (or just the Space bar), but LogiOptions+ will only see the Command key and won't recognise the Y key with it.
It also won't let me choose just the Space bar, or indeed anything that isn't a modifier key.
This means I can't actually assign a key combo shortcut to a button.
I could do these key combos before, but it's not working now.
I could 'reach out' to Logi 'support', but in my experience, they are beyond horrific and simply send you the instruction manual any time you raise an issue with them.
Can anyone help please?
Thanks
M
FINALLY, I got a specific response from Logitech's support:
What I've found is that the 'Fn' key on the Logitech MX Keys Mini is designed to function differently from the 'Fn' key on a standard Apple keyboard when used with macOS. Specifically, the 'Fn' key on our Logitech keyboard primarily serves to access the secondary functions printed on the F1 to F12 keys (like media controls, brightness, etc.). You would typically press and hold the 'Fn' key and then press the corresponding F-key to activate these Logitech-specific functions. Dedicated macOS shortcuts that rely on the Mac's native 'Fn' key behavior, such as Ctrl + Fn + C for specific system-level actions, are generally not compatible with the 'Fn' key on third-party keyboards like the Logitech MX Keys Mini. These types of shortcuts are often hardcoded to recognize the specific signal and behavior of the 'Fn' key built into Apple's own keyboards. Therefore, the reason your Ctrl + Fn + C 'center window' command isn't working is likely because macOS isn't interpreting the 'Fn' key press from the Logitech keyboard in the same way it would from an Apple keyboard for that particular shortcut. it's generally necessary to use an actual Apple keyboard to ensure those shortcuts are correctly interpreted by macOS.
MX Mini´s are not fully macOS compatible.
Logitech openly admits they purposefully break macOS native Globe key functionality on their premium keyboards:https://support.logi.com/hc/en-ca/articles/29752695205527. As a long-time customer who has bought multiple MX mice, keyboards, and webcams, this 'design choice' is the final straw. I’m officially done with the brand. Switching to an Apple keyboard and a Keychron mouse. Listen to your Mac users, Logitech.
