I have an issue. Every wireless Logitech mouse that I try to use on Windows 11 refuses to work. The matching keyboard connects and works perfectly fine, and Microsoft keyboards & mice work fine, but Logitech mice will not work at all.
I have tried searching for drivers, there aren't any. I've tried removing all of the mice devices from device manager, and restarting, no dice.
I've tried other utilities to try to get the mice to be recognized. Nothing.
Over even tried "incompatible" drivers in the driver update section, and still no success.
I know the mouse works, because when I connect it to the computer and boot into the BIOS, it works fine in the BIOS!
I'm almost at the point where I'm going to reset the computer and reinstall Windows, but before I do does anyone have any other suggestions?
By the way, this keyboard and mouse combination used to work fine on this windows installation a couple of years ago and for whatever reason, just stopped.

Hi,
I had similar issues with a Logitech USB wired Marble Mouse.. Build 25295 replaced the driver with a Microsoft Driver that does not support the specialty buttons.. The Marble Mouse does not even appear in the SetPoint driver software..
All attempts to reinstall the same version.. and newer.. failed.. Microsoft seems to be blocking this for some reason..
Hi KKONROAD,
My name is Cindy. I am sorry you are having this problem. I know it is really frustrating. I will do my best to help you with this problem.

This problem is usually caused by the drivers needing to be updated. The first step would be to check for updates.
__
Please type the word update in the search and open the page.
Then update the computer if necessary.
Then click on the advanced or additional updates on the same page.
A new page will open. Update if necessary.
___
The drivers for your mouse and keyboard may need to up updated.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver will usually fix this problem.
- Please type the words Device Manager into the search and open the page.
- Scroll down the page and click on Mice and Other Pointing Devices.
- You should see the mouse drivers. Right-click on them and uninstall them.
- Restart the computer. Windows will automatically reinstall the drivers.
- Check to see if the problem has been fixed.
Follow the same instructions above for the Keyboard and the Universal Serial Bus drivers in the device manager.
___
The maker of the computers is responsible for supplying updates for the drivers and bios so their computer will work with Windows.
Go to the Dell website and see if they have updated bios and drivers. Dell has a scanner that will scan for problems on the computer. I have attached a link below. This will scan your computer and then take you to a page with updates for your computer.
https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us?app=dri...
Please let me know if this does not work.
Sincerely,
Cindy

I have windows 11. It had a green screen error this morning but after that it restarted and I went about my day. Like an hour ago I tried plugging in the USB for the mouse and keyboard and it’s not working. I changed their batteries and then I tried using a wired mouse and that won’t work either.
I have updated my windows , I also reinstalled the HID mouse drivers and it still won’t work. Any ideas ?
Hi everyone, I'm a complete buffoon when it comes to computers so I'm sorry in advance. I have a pc that I've been using for a few weeks. When I first got it the mouse and keyboard would randomly stop working. We figured out it was because selective suspend was on in the settings, so I turned that off and was having no issues until today. I got a new keyboard and mouse yesterday and they seemed mostly okay with some minor issues I thought were battery problems. Today they would disconnect after about a minute, so I switched back to my old keyboard and mouse. Well, the problem persisted. They will work when i boot the computer up and then after about a minute of use they just stop. The lights are still on, but there's no reactions happening when I use the devices. The keyboard has a dongle and the mouse is wired. They only start working again when I reboot the computer. I went through and turned off the power save settings for all keyboard, mouse, and USB ports on the computer, turned the power save plan to high performance, updated all drivers, and Uninstaller then reinstalled the drivers for the mouse and keyboard. None of this has worked. I'm stumped and have no idea what I can do to fix this, and it doesn't help that I can only use the computer for about a minute at a time before having to reboot so I can click anything. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
update so it's not that the mouse and keyboard are not responding, the whole computer is freezing I downloaded CPU-Z to try and check some stuff and it was working and then froze along with the mouse and keyboard. And it's not this program specifically, it's the whole computer. I have no idea what's going on
If the keyboard and mouse are seperate then follow these steps:
- Change the port the USB is plugged into.
If the keyboard and mouse came together or that previous step didn’t work, try these steps: - Check the batteries in the keyboard.
- If that doesn’t work, it may be a driver issue. You can fix this by reinstalling the driver. Click the "Start" button and then click "Control Panel" followed by "Device Manager." Double-click the keyboard device and then click the "Driver" tab. Click "Update Driver" to update your keyboard's driver. Windows will search for and install the best version of your driver. If none are found then you can go to Logitech Support to download and install the driver for your specific wireless keyboard. Reboot the computer after installing and your wireless keyboard should be reset and fully working again.
If you are trying to use a K270 keyboard with a Unifying receiver it will not work because it is NOT compatible with the Unifying system. Check it out, you will not find the Unifying logo on the K270. These are being sold on Amazon as Unifying and it is a scam that Amazon is doing NOTHING about!
I am using MS keyboard and whiteshark mouse however I have tried with some older logitech mouse and also with some dell keyboard but still the results were the same. I also tried what you suggested with windows installation media but that just lead me to something similar to windows recovery where I tried to fix startup problems if that would help but again with no success. Also I am not sure if it is connected in any way but before the problem occurred I was running kaspersky antivirus which had allegedly found some malware (it was an dll but unfortunately I don't remember the path) which I proceeded to remove, after removal I was prompted to restart the computer to what I agreed after which the problem occurred.
Dear Josakko
Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community.
If the mouse and keyboard don't work on the Windows 11 logon screen, but work fine in the Windows Recovery Menu and UEFI, this could be due to a driver issue, a corrupted system file, or certain startup items. Here are some possible solutions:
- Check the driver:
Force boot three times into the Windows Recovery environment, select Troubleshooting > Advanced Options > Startup Settings, and then select “Enable Safe Mode”.
In Safe Mode, open the Device Manager and check if the devices under “Keyboard” and “Mouse and Other Pointer Devices” have yellow warning flags.
If there is, right-click on the device and select “Uninstall Device”, then restart your computer to see if Windows can reinstall the driver automatically. 2.
- Use Easy Access to try to enter the PIN Code.
In the lower right corner of the logon screen - next to the shutdown button - there is a button for accessibility.
One of the functions is an auxiliary keyboard, you can use this keyboard to try to input and test if it works.
3.FN Interference
Sometimes your keyboard will lock the FN function, resulting in the right hand keys become numbers YUIOJKL these will become numbers.
Therefore, you can try to press FN+ESC /FN+Numlock to cancel the FN lock and test if you can input.
- windows update issue:
Force boot into Windows recovery environment three times, select “Troubleshooting” > “Advanced Options” > “Uninstall updates”, and then select “Uninstall recent windows updates”.
Looking forward to your further reply.

Thank you for your response! I went in to look at the drivers and it didn't give me the option to update the driver (it was greyed out) and everything indicated that the device was working properly. So I unplugged the usb receiver again, took the batteries out and put them back in, turned the keyboard off and back on and it just started working! So whatever of those repeated steps seemed to work the second time.
Hi, and thanks for reaching out. I am Zainab, an Independent Advisor and a Windows user like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.
I understand how important it is for you to resolve the issue with your Logitech keyboard, nothing to worry I will do my best to help you out.
Windows is designed to be compatible with the majority of devices. This issue normally happens when a certain update changes your driver, it may result in a faulty or not compatible driver preventing it to run a certain device. To fix this we can roll back the keyboard driver to make sure it is compatible with your PC.
Kindly follow these steps:
-Please press the Windows key and X on your keyboard and select Device Manager
-Select the arrow next to Keyboards to expand it
-Please right-click on the Logitech keyboard driver
-Select Update driver
-Then select Browse my computer for drivers
-Choose Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
-You'll see a list of pre-installed drivers > Select the first driver on the list and click on Next
I hope the above information helps. Please let me know how it goes.
Best Regards,
Zainab.
Ever since i use windows 11 my logitech mx keys has issues connecting via bluetooth.
The problem is as follows: After the initial install of windows 11 things work without issue but (i guess) after a couple of windows updates things just stop working. Shortly after login i can see mx keys connect and immediately disconnects again in the bluetooth configuration of windows11. It does this a couple of times and eventually (i'm talking minutes later) it will connect and then things work without issue. It doesnt always connect though, sometimes i have to disable and enable the bluetooth adapter to get it to work at all. Right now i've given up on using bluetooth which sucks because i'm pretty limited on USB ports and using the unifying receiver takes up a usb port.
All other bluetooth devices are immediately connected at the login screen so bluetooth is working fine. The problems started when i switched to a new windows 11 laptop (lenovo ideapad gaming 3). I have replaced the wifi/bluetooth card in the new laptop with the one i was using in my previous windows 10 laptop (a Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A Wireless Network Adapter ) which has worked without issue with the mx keys running windows 10.
The reason i replaced the wifi/bluetooth card (a realtek card) in the new laptop was weak wifi performance issues (a known issue with this specific card) but the bluetooth issues with the mx keys were also present with the new realtek wifi/bluetooth card so i guess we can rule out issues with the wifi / bluetooth card). Running linux the mx keys connects and works just fine on this laptop so it is definitely an operating system problem.
Do more people have issues with windows 11 and mx keys and possibly a solution? I've already tried resetting the mx keys with esc-o esc-o esc-b and of course i've tried repairing it.
