I have a bunch of tshirts with my signature phrase on it and some others but I can’t manage to look gothic wearing it, I don’t wear makeup or do batsnest hair and I wear a key necklace

You can create a gothic look out of basic pieces, incorporating any combinations of certain fabrics and patterns, dark colours, accessories, and overall dark imagery -- generally, consider including certain fabrics (typically leather, mesh/net/lace, cotton, velvet/velour, and anything with a sheen), particular influences (depending on the substyle, it can involve 80s punk and New Romantic, Victorian or other era-specific style, corp, etc), layers of various accessories (incl headwear, neckwear, handwear, footwear accs, and any variety of jewellery; also can include fishnet underlayers), and dark imagery (such as bats, spiders/webs, bones, corvids, roses, coffins, crosses, occult, vampire, gothic-style graphics, goth bands...) You might also consider some patterns common in gothic fashion (stripes, floral designs, skulls, diamond/harlequin...) DIY is also a great way to add any kinds of extra gothic aesthetics to an outfit besides accessories themselves, from simple topical ornamentation to altering parts of the garments. Some mod examples: dye or bleach, paint designs, embroidery, make rips/distressing effects, add fabric patches/panels/trims/straps, install any variation of hardware (safety pins, button/enamel pins, o-rings/d-rings/key rings, zippers, chains, studs, buckles, lace-up accents, keychains, misc jewellery or other metal objects), repurpose misc items or parts of them, etc.

i usually style skirts with a black crop top, i have a little velvet one, sometimes a bolero or a normal cardigan, fishnet tights and some chunky shoes and a LOT of jewellery
