Zimmermann occasionally makes long sleeved maxi dresses but they’re usually $$$ If you don’t want something natural fibres then it’s a lot easier but if you want silk it’s going to be tricky (I’m in the same boat as you and currently trying to find a modest maxi for a wedding). Some of my Orthodox friends tend to wear a top/tank top underneath a dress, as many don't cover the collarbones. You might be okay with it, though - it (being tznius) can vary. Have you considered a skirt and a modest top? More on reddit.com

I have a formal coming up at the end of the year and I desperately need a dress but can't seem to find anything. My parents are quite strict with clothes so I have to have a dress that will at least reach my elbows and can't have too deep of a neckline (I can have my chest out but no boobs). I would mainly prefer a dress with darker colours, and possibly some beaded or lace details. All the dresses I have found that are long sleeve are the most plain and boring things ever, with nothing interesting going on in the design or the details. Like old lady style. Unfortunately my mum seems really against me wearing a shawl or a jacket over a normal dress, she thinks its ugly to layer things, so I can't even do that.
