What is the loudest Bluetooth speaker available right now?
The Soundboks 4 is the current champion, measured at ~111 dB, with the Turtlebox Grande (~110 dB) and JBL PartyBox Ultimate (~108–110 dB) close behind.
Can small Bluetooth speakers actually get loud?
Yes, relative to their size. Models like the JBL Clip 5 reach ~87–88 dB — not enough for parties, but surprisingly powerful for personal use.
Are AC-powered speakers still considered “Bluetooth speakers”?
Yes. They use Bluetooth for wireless playback, even though they don’t run on batteries. Models like the JBL PartyBox Ultimate are AC-only but still fall into the Bluetooth category.
I'm currently looking for new speakers for work, as the ones I'm using are on there last leg.
I work in a truss building company, so there is constant LOUD sounds of hammers, air compressors, saws, machines, etc... So I need a speaker/speakers that can overpower those noises as much as possible. The 2 speakers I've been using (for the past 5 years), are the ONN Party Box speakers. They can pair to eachother, so if there's a speaker option that connect to eachother, would be even better.
I've obviously seen the JBL's, SoundCores, Sonys, etc... and I know that are held with high standards. But never hearing them and especially not in my work environment, I'm wondering if anyone has experienced a good LOUD speaker/speakers that can get the job done while I'm doing my job.
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for recommendations for the best Bluetooth speaker to use in my car in 2024. I’m working with a semi-budget, so I’m hoping to find something that offers great sound quality, durability, and ease of use without breaking the bank.
If you’ve got any personal favorites or know of some hidden gems, please share your suggestions! Mainly using it in the car and in my room.
Thanks in advance!
My portable speaker just died and I'm looking for a replacement for use in my car. Budget is sub-$100. It needs to be loud enough to be heard driving at highway speeds (the car is pretty old so it can get noisy) and also sound decent. I realize nothing at this price point is going to be amazing, but something that doesn't sound harsh, distorted, or hollow would be ideal.
Right now I'm looking at the following, in no particular order:
-JBL Clip 4
-EarFun UBOOM L
-Soundcore Motion 300
-Ultimate Ears WONDERBOOM 3
-Sony SRS-XB100 (possibly XB13)
Review sites make them all seem like decent choices, but looking at actual user reviews gives me pause. If anyone can make a recommendation I would appreciate it, even if it's something not on the list.
I'm not interested in replacing my stereo, so please don't direct me to r/CarAV.
