Lovesac tackles tariffs with production shifts, strategic price increases - Furniture Today
October 9, 2025 - “The second piece was also understanding where the tariff impact is by country and then just mobilizing our production to go to the lowest tariff countries,” Fox said, adding vendors have opened up new factories in lower-tariff countries, and Lovesac is reaping that benefit. The third part of the plan, according to Fox, was “very strategic analysis around our price positioning, thinking about the quality and value benefits vs. our competition.” What become clear, she said, was that there was room to take a price increase.

Why Lovesac Continues To Grow While Other Furniture Brands Falter
May 28, 2024 - If you are going to invest so much in a couch, then Lovesac is a much more practical purchase,” Nelson observed. Sactionals are designed to last a lifetime and evolve as the customer’s needs change, which they always will. Sactionals can be added to, subtracted from and reconfigured. The covers can be washed and replaced repeatedly. Sactionals aren’t cheap – a loveseat for two starts around $3,000 – but the price ...

Price has increased substantially? : r/Lovesac
August 5, 2025 - ... $420 plus $84 in tarrifs (20%) leaves $46 going towards inflation (adjusting for who knows how long since the previous adjustment) and some level of extra profit. I'm no corporate shill, but it sounds like the majority of the increase isn't on Lovesac's greed.

r/Lovesac on Reddit: Sales and Tariff Update
July 30, 2025 -

I received a Lovesac email that includes a 35% off promo for an in-store quote. The email mentions tariff price increases August 4th and includes the following statement: "This is the best pricing we will have for the rest of the year, even better than our Labor Day or Black Friday sale!"

I wasn't expecting to purchase a 4 seat, 5 side sactional until around Black Friday. What does the community think about this if now will be the cheapest? Is it FOMO pricing or will there be similar sales around November/December that offset the tariff increases? Any idea how impactful the tariffs will be?

r/Lovesac on Reddit: Prices going up
December 4, 2024 -

When i bought our sactional last Wednesday I asked the salesperson if he expected prices to go due to up due to tariffs since they are made in China and other countries. He said that they had just received an email from corporate that day saying that prices on custom fabrics were going up immediately (unless you already have a quote-they will honor it) and regular fabrics the first week of May. So if you are on the fence buy it now!

Does A Lovesac 'Sactional' Live Up To The Hype — And The Cost? | Essence
April 17, 2023 - I was a bit intimidated, because Lovesac couches aren’t priced like your average offerings out there. Their cheapest options are their original Sacs, which are massive bean-bag like seats that can be for one person to as many as four people. Their most expensive offerings, the Sactionals, can be more than $10,000 depending on how many seats and sides you want in your home.

r/Lovesac on Reddit: Why or when did lovesac became so expensive?
May 30, 2021 -

Please let me begin this post by saying that this is not a hate post: this post is about being blown away by current prices. 10 years ago I bough a movie sac bundled with a sport cover for 230 dollars. It’s been the best piece of furniture we have ever had and I’m quite happy with it. Today a friend of mine finally moved to a bigger place and asked about my “bean bag, how much she loves it whenever she comes to visit and how she wants to get one” and I kindly told her “it’s not a bean bag it’s a love sac, and I paid around 230 dollars, bear in mind it was 10 years ago it must have gone up in price” a few hours later she replies with “2000 + dollars? Did you buy it used? No way it costs that much and you paid 200 usd” I could not believe her so I visited the page and to my surprise, she was right. What happened? I mean; like I said we love our movie sac but I’m not sure it’s worth 2000+ dollars Is it a different movie sac from the one I bought 10 years ago? Was the company sold and someone revamped it and jacked up the prices? Really curious on why the price difference

Thanks

Why Is Lovesac So Expensive | TikTok

r/Lovesac on Reddit: Why so expensive?
December 25, 2024 -

We tried lovesacs in a store, thought it was reasonably comfy, and liked the modular concept/accessories/customizability. But the quote we got for a configuration we put together in the store seemed just absurd. ($6k+ for a mini sectional with recliner, including 30% "discount", plus tax.)

I don't get it. I went to another store in the same neighborhood that sells fully custom made sofas, built locally, for about the same price or less. Lovesac comfort is good but not exceptional, about the same as our ~$1k sofa we bought from Macy's a few years ago. The recliner seems nifty, but not particularly ergonomic (try out any recliner in a store that specializes in back wellness and you'll know what I mean). The modularity is cool, but seems the resulting mass production of identical base pieces should drive prices down, not up.

So overall it seems they have built a brand that lets them overcharge folks for basic things, sort of like Peloton perhaps. Or am I missing something else?

r/Lovesac on Reddit: Sooo to current owners… was $10k for a couch worth it?
January 2, 2024 -

I’ve tried to price this thing out to seat 8. No matter which way I slice it…. Around $10k

So my question to all of you current owners especially those a year or more in, do you feel like you get that value out of it?

Quite honestly I can buy a super nice $3k sectional every two years and change the style for the same price.

Went to the store sat in it.. being 6’5” it’s super comfortable…. But is it $10k comfortable?

My biggest complaint is I can’t stay awake on mine and it’s near impossible watching an entire movie on it.

After my experience, I want to share why I believe Lovesac is not worth the hefty price tag, especially when there are better alternatives. My Lovesac Experience I recently purchased a Lovesac Sactional, and let me tell you, it was a rollercoaster from start to finish. The price alone is staggering—my configuration cost around $11,000. For that amount, I expected nothing short of perfection. Unfortunately, the reality was far from it... Comfort and Quality While the initial comfort of the Lovesac Sactional is undeniable, my back cushions are a major letdown. The swatch color also didn't match the sectional I got (see below). Back to the cushions: they were underfilled, leading to a lack of support that makes long sitting sessions uncomfortable. The modular design comes with its own set of issues. The pieces fit together like a puzzle, but the constant need to adjust and reassemble them is a huge hassle. Delivery The delivery process was a nightmare. The sectional arrived in nearly two dozen packages, and it took two adults about five hours to set it up. The instructions were somewhat clear, but the sheer volume of boxes and the space they occupied made the process incredibly frustrating. Additionally, the amount of cardboard waste was just shocking. One year later After just a year of use, the cushions started to show signs of wear. The LoveSoft fill, which is supposed to be luxurious, began to break down, making the cushions less supportive over time. Given the price, I expected the sectional to hold up much better. Customer Service (and the wrong swatches) My interactions with Lovesac's customer service were less than satisfactory. I had a huge issue, my swatch did not match the actual sofa, I don't know if the swatch was disolored, or the sofa, but it just wasn't the same. When I called to ask about this, the responses were slow and unhelpful. They asked me to make photos, but in the photo you hardly see it... Result is that I now have  a sectional that's a different color than I ordered. Better Alternatives Given my disappointing experience with Lovesac, I started looking into other options and found some fantastic alternatives that offer better value for money. I actually ordered a chair from DreamSofa back in 2021 and it's holding up great, I don't understand why I wasted $11k on a sectional from lovesac. DreamSofa: DreamSofa is my choice for several reasons.... The $2,350 sectional I have is 5 years old but it looks new. I used their  free stuffing service when it wore out (dream exchange?), so I changed my stuffing last month for new ones, FOR FREE! They use real wood and you notice that and the lifetime warranty just seems too good to be true, I think crate & barrell offers 3 years warranty? Clad Home: I never bought from them but I really like clad home because the designs are really nice, I'm thinking of ordering from them next time! Crate & Barrel: I used to be a pretty loyal crate & barrel client but I just don't like any of their sectionals... They do offer good value for money but they're not nearly as affordable as all the new companies. I may give them a go in the future. After my experience, I want to share why I believe Lovesac is not worth the hefty price tag, especially when there are better alternatives.
