I have zero regrets so far. Highest quality and most comfortable piece of furniture I have ever owned. Is there furniture for far cheaper that may have sufficed for my needs? Maybe! But after visiting many furniture show-rooms and trying everything in them; nothing quite fit the bill. The Lovesac sactional was the only one that checked all the boxes for us and while I know there are a few alternatives out there that are far cheaper there was no way for us to try them out before buying. The last thing I wanted to do was deal with returning all the components or even worse; settling. I've never known of a piece of furniture to have such an active community like this either - it makes me feel like I will have multiple avenues for support even after the warranty is up. Lovesac Sactional Couch Updated 5-Year Review - Postcards from the Ridge
August 25, 2024 - Enter the Lovesac couch. I had never even heard of it, and honestly thought it was a little boring at first. So we looked at other sofas from Pottery Barn and local furniture companies. We also visited a Lovesac showroom to sit on a sactional and view all of the fabric choices.

r/Lovesac on Reddit: Any sactional regrets?
October 17, 2023 -

Does anyone have any regrets about purchasing a sactional? I would like to get one but a price tag of over $6000 (after discounts) has me nervous.

Edit: Thank you for all the comments. Sounds like there are a lot of cons for how expensive these things are.

I like mine a lot. But it’s not perfect. The LoveSoft back cushions can definitely look sloppy unless they’re freshly fluffed (but the standard fill is not comfortable for me). I just accept this for what it is. I love that it’s washable, I have young kids and it has been great for messes. Overall I think you have to know what you’re getting. It’s a modular couch, don’t compare it to other sectionals that are not modular. And if it’s a stretch financially, don’t put yourself into debt for it. It’s not magic, it’s just a couch and not worth significant debt. You will notice a theme with posts from people who are unhappy with their sactionals here, they are usually complaining about the price.

Come back in fifteen years, and tells us how comfy your lovesac sactional still is and how you’re onto your third Ashley. You’ll eventually buy new cover sets when they are 50 percent off, or find floor model covers for 70 percent. And you’ll get used to taking it apart and cleaning it every once in a while, and it won’t be such a “pain in the butt” because you’ve gotten used to it and there’s a lot of things out there in the world that are harder to put together. Shoes, clamps, and covers will go on like a breeze because everything isn’t brand new anymore. That’s when sactional’s really pay off. 20 years from now you’ll still have it and it will still be just as great. Designed. For. Life. More on reddit.com

We’ve sold our home and will be moving in a few weeks to an apartment, and then move again next year out of state. We’re getting rid of most of the furniture as it is old and worn out. Any Long-term Lovesac Sactional reviews?

Bumpppp! Super interested to hear this. I have a lovesac bean bag - 2 years in and it has turned into a dog bed. That being said, still holds up and I wash the covers every month or so. Very pleased with it. Interested to hear about the sactional though

5-year Lovesac Sactional Couch Review - Would we buy it again? - Postcards from the Ridge
3 weeks ago - What a fantastic review. Thank you for your efforts. We too have a LoveSac sactional and love it. It has been in a guest room as a bed for a while but I got tired of our current couch. The LoveSac is being relocated. My wife wanted to change colors so all new covers were ordered.

So, Lovesac touts their Sactional as being “The World’s Most Adaptable Couch.” I was definitely like, “Sure, Jan,” the first time I heard that, but I get it now.

Lovesac Sactional and Recliner Review 2025
April 10, 2025 - Yes. A Lovesac is an investment, and the prices can add up quickly as you include things like recliner seats or the hidden sound system, but because the frames and core pieces come with a lifetime guarantee, it's a good investment.

Lovesac Sactional Couch Review: Sectional Price & Stealthtech
April 25, 2025 - By far our favorite of the sofas we sat on from a comfort and feel perspective, Lovesac had a lot of other pluses: it came in various pieces and was fully modular (meaning we could arrange and rearrange the various elements in whatever way we wanted, forever), there were a ton of fabric options to choose from, and all the covers were removable and washable.

If you’re considering purchasing, take this with a grain of salt! If you’ve already purchased, add your thoughts (even if they’re as manic as mine)

  • don’t take your young children with you. They will climb all over everything and you won’t make the proper considerations.

  • when testing the sofa, act like you’re at home. Pull your feet up, lounge, lay on it. Or you’ll be like me and get the standard size initially when truly you want the deep seats and you’ll have to exchange stuff and it’s a pain in the butt.

  • make sure to pick a fill. We didn’t, and we were actually upsold on the “lovesoft” which we wouldn’t have picked because my husband has spinal issues. We just assumed the standard would in fact be standard (and the boxes sat in our garage for weeks while waiting). But also we were refunded $800 (again, don’t take the kids bc you won’t notice 💸)

  • delivery takes a while. And sometimes in several deliveries.

  • make sure you actually receive everything and don’t start unboxing until you do, because chaos.

  • watch the videos of the inventor putting them together. It will save you so much time and heartache.

  • unbox and sort everything. Be tedious about this

  • this will take you HOURS. Even if you’re working your butt off. You will regret your choices very very early.

  • the thought “I can’t believe I spent this much money and they don’t even offer install” will go through your mind while you drop your 15th f bomb while bending your nail backwards trying to get the cover on.

  • they don’t go together as well as you think. The thought of stomping on it will go through your head and actually that is something you should act on (the dude even does that in the videos)

  • have some kind of alcohol on hand (unless you don’t drink, and then I suggest having a punching bag that you’ll be too tired to hit anyway)

  • it takes a hot minute for the sofa to actually feel comfortable. You’ll think seriously about returning it until the daunting realization that you would have to box it all back up is too intimidating to consider. You should definitely let your kids run all over it or borrow kids to do this for you. It really helps.

  • its not nearly as versatile as you imagined it would be. Ours really only goes into one configuration without having to purchase additional things or store others.

  • the recliner kind of sucks. Not to mention you’re going to lose the remote.

  • you’re not going to be cleaning under it because it’s a pain in the butt to move. Put blockers to prevent stuff from going under. It’ll drive you crazy (trust me, as I am crazy)

  • the first time you wash it, its going to give you a PTSD feeling (this is a joke, I understand the gravity of ptsd and have some myself, but dark humor is my wingman) of when you first got this together. And it’ll be a full day thing because you’re not supposed to use a dryer. And it’ll take 10 hours to dry.

  • you’ll wish you could have multiple covers for it but that is a pipe dream because they’re so expensive

So. Do I like it? Yes. Do I love it? Ehhh. We bought two sofas at the same time, one upstairs and one downstairs (finished basement). The downstairs one is from Ashley, was around 1/6 of the price. Came put together and delivered inside. Just as comfortable. Or maybe I like it better from the above mentioned things. Who really knows at this point. Is it growing on me though? Yes. It’s such an amazing movie night sofa. It’s definitely a cuddle couch. But we have it so there’s a queen size bed on the end at all times. We wondered about how that would be when company came over, but ultimately decided that we like the configuration regardless of if guests are comfortable lol.

Happy Mother’s Day to all you mamas out there!!

Is a Lovesac Sactional Worth It? Full Review with Photos [1-Year Update]
November 24, 2025 - Once I was happy with the layout, I moved on to the hardest part: Choosing a cover! At the time of ordering, Lovesac had 30 quick-ship options in boucle, velvet, chenille, crossweave, weave, polylinen, leather and reversible fabrics. If that’s not enough, they also offer over 150 custom covers, ranging from a zany zebra-print velvet to super-soft “phur.” Keep in mind custom covers are not returnable.
