Are Lovesacs total ripoffs or a good idea?
I would only get the sactional if you can afford the LOVESOFT cushion / back pillow. Keeps its shape and is super comfortable. I have a 8 seat 7 side setup and love it.

They are fan-fucking-tastic couches. We bought the sactional because we couldn't find a couch that was deep enough for my 6'4" husband to comfortably sit in, that we could also get through our apartment front entrance.
We had actually given up on finding a couch and said screw it, let's just buy a big ass bean bag for now. Went to the lovesac store and fell in love with the sactional set. We bought 4 bases and 7 sides. They fed exed everything to us. We also bought a supersac lol.
Fast forward a few years and we have a house and the awesomesauce sactional and supersac. We generally use it as an L shaped sectional but will adapt it as needed. Best sofa ever. My in laws are going to get a sactional soon and they rarely try new fangled things. Everyone who is in our house loves our furniture.
Tip: its pricey but get the covers. The naked fabric pills quickly and looks god awful.
Sorry for the late response but just searched lovesac and thought I could vouch for the product and felt I should share.

Any sactional regrets?

I recently bought a house and I'm struggling to find a couch for my game room. Three years ago my girlfriend bought me a Lovesac for Christmas and I love it! It is perfect for lounging playing video games and it has held up quite well. Now I'm curious about their Sactionals (couches).
Does anyone here have one or know someone who does? They're pretty expensive, but I'm looking to buy a nice couch and it seems good couches run quite a bit. I'm used to Ikea and cheaper furniture. I've looked in Levins and a few other furniture stores, but everything I'm seeing is either boring or cheap.
Here's a link to the Sactionals if you're not familiar with them: http://www.lovesac.com/sactionals/allaboutsactionals.html
This is the figuration that I was considering: http://www.lovesac.com/sactionals/6series-sactionals-7cushion-sectional-chaise-ottoman-black-herringsuede-covers.html
I don't want black suede though, I was considering a different color/fabric. The Lovesac store is a little cheaper than online, that configuration above will cost $5,040 + tax.
For reference, here are pictures of my game room: http://imgur.com/a/y5Tin#0
The first few pics are my current setup, the other ones were from the previous owner just to give you an idea of what was done w/ the space previously. I'm planning on buying a new entertainment center and painting the walls a darker color.
Any thoughts? I'm welcome to other recommendations as well. Thanks in advance!

It looks nice, but I think a U shape setup will be overwhelming given the shape of that room. I would do a small sectional, or a standard couch with a few chairs instead.
Does anyone have any regrets about purchasing a sactional? I would like to get one but a price tag of over $6000 (after discounts) has me nervous.
Edit: Thank you for all the comments. Sounds like there are a lot of cons for how expensive these things are.
Hi everyone,
I'm moving in to my first apartment at the beginning of the year and a couch is the last thing I need. I really, really like the Lovesac Sactional and the concept behind modular sactionals that I can change into different layouts. The drawback is that the model I'm looking at it is $4700, which is pretty far outside of my budget.
As such I've been trying to find similar competitors that offer a similar product at a lower price, but unless my Googling is not up to par, I can't find anything. I did try searching Reddit but didn't find much either.
Is there some secret corner of the internet that offers something similar but at a cheaper price?
We’re considering purchasing a sactional which we’ll also use as a guest bed. I’ve read mixed reviews about the different fills - some say that the standard foam is stiff at first but gets more comfortable and that the lovesoft fill is more comfortable initially but loses its shapes.
If you’ve had this couch for a little while I’d love to know how your fill is holding up.
Also, I’ve read that some fabrics don’t hold up well so if you have a fabric that has held up or one that we should avoid I’d love to hear about that as well.
Thanks in advance!
I've had mine for a month, so I can't talk about longevity. I chose the standard and did not find it uncomfortable at all. It is starting to "wear in" perfectly. I did upgrade the cloth a little, I forget the material's name, but it is a quick ship material, but it isn't the cheapest option (it is some odd spelling of "Mediterranean" blue). The cats are picking at it, but it doesn't look any worse for wear. Overall, I've very happy with mine. Sorry, I haven't owned it longer... Good luck, take your time (it ain't cheap), and lay it out perfectly before you buy it.
I just ordered one. Hopefully we like it. Here's a referral code if anyone is looking to take the plunge. https://refer.lovesac.com/s/Kinsey
