So I've used a Logitech K360 for many years. My first one lasted a long time before it started having various issues. The second one recently developed a problem with the space bar not working half the time (a pretty important feature). I tried prying off the space bar to clean, and snapped it in half. I tried swapping in the old keyboard's space bar, but the design is different, and it doesn't fit.
Today I received a MX Keys S. The quality is 10x higher overall, ie the keys don't wobble like on the K360. The full layout takes a lot of getting used to, but only ever knew this layout until getting my first K360.
However, it turns out that the compact layout was a pretty key feature for the K360, for reasons I'm sure have been tread over plenty on this sub. Namely that instead of having both the keyboard and mouse in front of you, now one or both are pushed to the side, introducing that dreaded rotator cuff repetitive strain mouse arm.
I'm a bit bummed by this, because I'd rather just keep this thing and be done with it. But if it's going to be more irritating later...
TLDR: Is there a wireless, compact, low profile keycap keyboard that still has a number pad, other than the K360? Or am I stuck trying to find more K360s forever. I can't imagine not having a number pad.
I don't have a specific budget, but I can't imagine what I'm looking for being any more expensive than the MX S I already have here.
Also, I don't care about gaming keyboards, mechanical et al. I'd rather it be quiet than precise. Rimworld is pretty forgiving of keyboard precision.
Thank you very much for enduring such a lengthy post from a non-r/keyboards person!

Hi - first time posting here.
Looking for recommendation on a keyboard that has similar form factor to Logi K585 (14.5-15in wide, numpad, and somewhat thin), backlit.
I don't think I've ever spent so much time looking for a keyboard before; but once I started looking, I could not believe the number of choices.
RoyalKludge RK96 is perfect size and functionality; though I would like a little thinner and perhaps RGB (but that is not necessarily a need). But it is a front runner for sure.
NuPhy Air96 V2 looks great but it is a bit over my budget (~$80).
Irok FE98Pro looks doable but I know nothing about the brand (and is it really that thin).
Seenda Backlit Multi-Device could be ok but that is even more sketchy (the dimensions don't even add up).
TIA
I've been in the market for a new low profile mechanical keyboard. Years back I had the Logitech G815 and liked it for what it was. Switches were okay, keycaps were meh. I ended up selling it as I wanted something smaller from a full keyboard.
I recently bought the Logitech G515 in tactile and have been using it for 2 weeks now. I like the form factor, the switches, the updated keycaps to PBT. However, there has already been a double clicking problem that has developed on the space bar. I believe I read about that issue before buying it too unfortunately. It happens both in the wireless adapter mode and bluetooth. While it doesn't happen all the time. it's annoying enough that I'm considering returning it and searching for something else.
It was tough for me to choose between the Logitech G915X, Razer Deathstalker v2 pro, or the one I ended up going with the Logitech G515. While I do like the TKL format, some other keyboards I was considering is the NuPhy Air75 v2 and the Lofree Flow 84.
I currently also have a Logitech MX Mini and Keychron Q1 that I was looking to sell to consolidate into one keyboard to use for gaming (windows) and work (mac).
Anyone have any recommendations or advice on how to best proceed?
Edit: I went with the Iquinix mq80 and have really enjoyed it thus far!
Hi, I've just purchased the 70% K3 and I'm looking for a numpad to match. Can anyone recommend a numpad with low-profile keys and a detachable (preferably USB C) cable and/or wireless connection?
Alternatively, if there are no low-profile models out there, can anyone recommend an affordable numpad with RGB? Something like this, with a brand/support to back it up? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/185115664067
Looking for a numpad to go along with a Keychron K1 SE (TKL) when needed, preferably wireless, but all my searches came up empty so far. Maybe my google-fu just sucks today? Would be best if it didn’t cost more than the K1 itself, too, of course…

There won't be many, but search for Numpads/Macropads that use Kailh Choc switches.
Hi
I’m searching for a low profile keyboard with the best quality possible
Budget under 500
Wired or wireless
If possible PBT keycaps if not abs but has to feel good
TKL or 75%
Thanks
I've a keychron k3 for a while and my experience has been grest, not regret my purchase; that was in February. Now I'm curious of the Nuphy, wanted to try it since I need a full keyboard and Nuphy Air96 seems to save me desk space compared to the K5. I'm also in US 🫤, wish there was another way but apparently for now I only can buy it from the nuphy.com website
this is probably not a great suggestion regarding your conditions, but check out the Lofree Flow... the sound is soooo good for some reason
Looking for a wireless keyboard with no issues with fast connectivity and reaction times. I game primarily though controller, but occasionally use mouse/keyboard. 96% or 100% with a knob and rgb. I am not a fan of loud and clicky, but more of a thock or less/deep sound. I have a set of switches I like, but am open to suggestions. Thank you in advance.
I'm looking for a low-profile wireless keyboard with numpad and gaps between every four F-keys. Basically something like the Apple Magic Keyboard but the gaps between F-keys are essential for me. As a video editor I use F-keys all the time and need to be able to feel them without looking, hence the gaps.
Apparently this doesn't exist.
Low profile is not a complete requirement. I'm on Mac but a Windows keyboard is also not a necessity.
Any tips? Thanks!
Keychron k5 pro.
I'm on Mac but a Windows keyboard is also not a necessity.
So, just to say, you can use any regular USB keyboard on the Mac, even if the legends say they are for windows. The only thing is that the position of Windows keyboard working on macOS has the ⌘ and ⌥ swapped around.
But that is very easily remedied/corrected by going to keyboard shortcuts in settings and swapping these modifiers.
The only other 'problem' is that not all keyboards will read ⌘ and ⌥ on the modifiers and some people have a real issue with this. I tend not to, but it's surprising how many people require the proper legend, printing on their caps.
If that's not a dealbreaker, you have a lot of keyboards available to you
Hello! So for contex I currently use the MSI Vigor GK50 Low Profile and have recently purchased my girlfriend a Yunzii B75 Pro and now really want to get a keyboard with the similar feel and sound to this. I have done a quick bit of research into this and found that the general online view is Keychron is the way to go for mechanical with numpads however the choice seems a little overwhelming just in the Keychron range!
The below is the requirements I am after so looking for advise on which keyboard to go with:
Ideally require a 100% but happy to take smaller as long as it has full numpad
Ideally I would like them to be as quiet as possible as my PC is in my bedroom or at least have the option down the line where I can upgrade the keys to quieter options.
I am not sure what type of switches I would like but something similar to the milk switch keys that came with the Yunzii B75 Pro I think? (I assume any of the smoother sounding switches will be a lot nicer than my MSI board anyway)
Not too bothered about wireless as this will be used at my desk
Wouldn't mind the idea of adding custom colour key caps later down the line if they can be removable?
Budget can be whatever it needs to be but if it is one of the £250 range I would need to understand what is better than one of their £120 options
Ideally would like to be able to purchase this on Amazon UK (mainly because of the 30 seconds of viewing on this subreddit it feels like the smart thing to do)
I think that is the main thing people normally state for preferences on keyboard but any other things you believe I need to state please let me know! and thank you in advance for any suggestions or where to start!
Any keyboards that will have all the needed keys for programming and also not be bad for gaming? (Low responsiveness etc)
I have a budget of $200. I don't really care if it has RGB lights or the build material. I also want the number pad to have a 0 key that is the size of two keys. I really like the look of the lofree flow lite100 but the single key 0 button on the number pad was the deal breaker for me. The nuphy keyboards also seem to be really popular but they also only have a single key 0 button on the number pad. So far I am thinking about the keychron K17 since it has the two key 0 on the number pad. The only thing holding me back on the keychron is that I don't like the color of the keycaps. I would like it to be just all white. I found a set of white keycaps on amazon but some of the reviews said the bigger keys didn't really fit correctly with the k17. Looking to see if anyone might have any recommendations for me since the brands i mentioned above were the most popular ones. Thanks
I type for many hours a day every day, and have been for most of my life. For better or worse, the kinds of keyboards I've become accustomed to (and which I ahve the most muscle memory for, highest WPM and best accuracy) are low profile. For example, I love the typing experience of Lenovo Thinkpads; recent Macbook Airs are really good as well. But for my desktop, my daily driver has been a $12 Amazon Basics keyboard I bought 8 years ago.
I don't know what it is, but it just ticks all the boxes. The keys are slim, travel is just right, the sensitivity is perfect, it's full size without cramping the numpad next to arrow keys (I hate that 'grid' design some keyboards have). Only problem: it finally broke, and Amazon changed the design to one that sucks now.
So now I'm on the question for a keyboard that is (1) low profile, (2) full size with arrow keys and numpad comfortably spaced, and (3) absolutely optimal for typing at high speed (100+wpm) and accuracy. Wired of course! I don't care about RGB, macro keys, noise, price, clickiness, or any bells and whistles.
I've checked out a lot of common recommendations like the NuPhy stuff, Logitech G515 but they fail some of these criteria so I'm hoping there's another weirdo out there like me with a great recommendation I've missed.
Thanks in advance!
Hey everyone, I’m looking for a quiet mechanical keyboard with a Numpad for use in Blender, video editing, story games, and general browsing. It definitely shouldn’t be loud like the typical mechanical keyboards you see in electronics stores.
I’ve been looking at the Redragon K668. It has hot-swappable red switches and seems to be quiet. Has anyone used it? How quiet is it really, and would you recommend it for both work and gaming?
Any other recommendations around €60 that are quiet and have a Numpad would be appreciated!
Hi guys,
I'm looking to buy a creamy-sounding keyboard with a numpad (out-of-box good). I love the creamy sound of the epomaker x lebog hi75 but I need the size to have a numpad!
Do you think the epomaker x aula f99 would be a close sound profile, or the keydous nj98? Any other reccs appreciated as well!
budget: $120
After testing a mechanical keyboard, I fell in love with the premium feeling and after doing to research for my first Mechanical keyboard I noticed that mechanical keyboards with numpad is fairly limited so I was thinking maybe going for a smaller form factor and... maybe i will get used to working without a numpad?
