I need to do a complete overhaul of the front yard of this vacation rental in the Virgin Islands. We recently completed all the repairs and put up fencing to keep the donkeys out so 8 months after Irma we're finally able to focus on the landscaping.
The yard is sandy and will have a load of fine white sand dumped on it. It's one of the few waterfront properties with a sandy beach on this island, so we're going for a very beachy feel. There are areca palms, bananas, red and pink bougainvillea, fox tail palms, red hibiscus, royal poincianas, and an african tulip tree on the other side that you can't see in the pictures.
I'm looking for non-thorny climbing vines that grow quickly and have pretty flowers. I'm very interested in anything that bears edible fruit. I love coconut palms but I'm not sure they're a good idea after seeing what the hurricanes did to most of them. I have some ideas, but I might be stuck in a rut so I'd love to hear some fresh suggestions. Thanks!
Hi! I have a sunny windowsill and am doing a rainforest vibe. I have lilies and hibiscus but I’m looking for some tropical foliage that does well in direct sun.
Thank you!
