r/AustinGardening on Reddit: Low maintenance plants for front yard
April 21, 2024 -

What are some low maintenance/drought tolerant plants for my front yard? Is it too late to plant things? I’m in south Austin.

My house faces west and gets a good amount of sunlight in the front in the afternoon/evening. I generally don’t mind taking care of plants but I’m 36 weeks pregnant and also have a toddler and tbh, I’m probably not going to be great at maintaining anything that needs a lot of work over the next few months. I have a planter area that just has mulch right now, so I could plant there if I clean it out or I’d be fine with potted plants too. I’d love some color but greenery is ok too. I just want to spruce it up a bit.
