April 28, 2023 - So a friend and I went to an exotic plant sale at the end of August. They had some wonderful plants that were pretty pricey because "exotic". And now I see many of the same plants at Lowes. For less than what I paid. I bought a Pink Princess like yours and paid about 4x the price.

Answer (1 of 2): I just found out a couple weeks ago that Home Depot gets full refunds for plants they receive from vendors but only if they dispose of them. So there is no incentive for them to discount them when if they throw them away they get the full price for them.
