This may be a stupid question, but idk what that means 😅 they want to make a barista trainer an LS leader and I’m curious what it entails and means. I’m not a corporate store. I’m one that’s attached to a grocery store.
I work at 2 different licensed stores at the airport. At store #1 the SM would have us go over whatever modules that are new plus practice new drinks while on the clock. Store #2 our SM makes us do our modules at home and we have to figure out on our own on how to make new drinks. When I question it saying I thought we’re supposed to do all training on the clock, the SM says we don’t have time to do training at work and we’d still get paid. Is this right?
I’ve been trying to complete my LS training for so long now and I can not for the life of me figure out where the actual reading materials for it are. I’ve looked in Food Order and ordered the stuff but I can’t figure it out, plus there’s stuff that asks for Starbucks Storelink stuff that I don’t think I have access to? Has anyone completed it and know where I can find this stuff…
You can print it from the starbz page on Workbench! Not as pretty as the nice book they send you, but if you need to get it done you can print it.
Your leader should have the learning cards. However if for whatever reason they don’t have them, in workbench on the menu bar go to areas > gm&food > Starbucks. This is where most Starbucks info will be. On the left hand column there should be a link to to Starbucks Training. If you scroll to the bottom you’ll find all training materials including basics, trainer and LS leader. Store link is for company ops stores only, not target.
So I came from a corporate store and I just started at a licensed store. I've noticed a lot of things not being done to standard and I've tried to correct here and there but if it's not written down I have a hard time getting them to trust me, I get that I'm the newbie (to them) but I have 3+ years of experience with Starbucks and I know my standards pretty well thanks to my old SM. Is there something like Corporate's store resources that I can show them to help them understand. I'm not trying to be a pain but the way they're doing things is just making things unnecessarily difficult for themselves and resulting in some rather displeased customers from what I've witnessed.
Your LS has access to store link which is a very limited version of “partner hub.” It has all pertinent documentation there like manuals, weekly updates, ppk, etc.
Ask for login access to print things up.
I don't have a direct answer, given I haven't worked at a licensed store myself, but I have a couple ideas. See if there is a spot in your store for business cards like corp stores do. Licensed stores have their own management chain so look for your district managers contact. It's possible you could still have access to the partner hub if you have partner numbers. I would be surprised if you don't have some sort of access to training materials. If the store manager is on your side then they could be your recourse too.
I received this in my Spring promo kit. They are small window clings. I only received one and couldn't find any info on it.
