Anyone have experience with getting a dress from Lulu’s? I was checking their website and they seem super affordable and pretty.
Hi friends,
The title says it all. I ordered 11 dresses from Lulus during their Black Friday sale and created a PowerPoint of my thoughts. It's pretty basic, but I hope it will help a few of my fellow brides! I'm still a Reddit newbie, so PPT seemed like the easiest medium for me. I included the names, cost and links of all the dresses, as well as notes about my measurements.
Without further ado, here she is.
PS - I'll try to add updates if I try on any others.

The dresses are so cheap but curious about quality and experience from others....
I know there's loads of US brides on here, so have any of you ordered dresses from Lulus? I've found so many pretty ones but they seem so cheap? (which is great, we're on a budget but I don't want to get dress regret). Does anyone have photos they can share of their Lulu's dresses?
I love Lulu's! I actually just posted a thread about two dresses I ordered recently from there for wedding-adjacent events - here they are! I bought another dress at the same time to wear to another wedding, but I didn't take photos but it's amazing.
I also got a black dress for my engagement shoot from there here.
And actually, I have this Lulu's dress and was going to use it as my wedding dress, but decided I didn't like the front/neckline and got a bridal top custom made. The seamstress is currently turning the Lulu's dress into a skirt, so the separates will look like this!
I wore a Lulu's dress for engagement photos. I love it!
I bought 3 dresses from Lulu’s. Very pretty, but as a size XL, I’m not sure which will look best on me. I must say, the prices were extremely affordable. 3 dresses and 2 pairs of shoes came to $711. Here they are! Which do you favor most?

I'm getting married next year, so I still have a lot of time to try on dresses. But since it's quarantine and I haven't worn a gown since prom, I wanted to have some fun. To my surprise, I think I may have found THE ONE - and it's only $84!
I ordered them all in a small, except for the "Awaken my Love" dress, which was a medium. This was a mistake. All but two were too small, hence the many half-zipped back pictures. For reference, I am 5'4" and 145lbs, so I probably should have ordered a medium. But I've been losing weight and felt hopelessly optimisic, lol. You can still see the general fit of the dresses though!
Here are comments in the order of trying on:
Infinite Glory, $84: I'm probably going to keep this one. I LOVE it. It is SO flattering and comfortable. If I do end up keeping it to wear on my wedding day, I will have to hem it, replace the adjustable sleeves, and I'd also like to make the back a little lower. But for $84, why not?! I just want to sit in this gown all day. Such a classic piece.
Magically Charming, $99: Disappointing and feels really cheap, like a Halloween costume. Lots of 90s vibes, but in a bad way. It looks deflated. If you are small chested like me, it just makes your boobs look sad. The back is pretty, though. My fiance did his best job to make the straps look cute (bless his heart). Also, this is the only dress in size small to fit me besides Infinite Glory, so size down if you want to try it.
Heavenly Hues, $84: Pretty but not for me. Lots of Grecian vibes. The slit is nice, not too low or too high. Also good quality - I could see a bride in this on her wedding day. It would also be really pretty for a pregnant bride or for a maternity shoot.
Awaken my Love, $86 (the only one in Medium): I have seen so many brides use this as a budget-friendly wedding dress. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan. It feels very cheap and costume-y. The fit is awkward, especially in the arms. Way too big for me and generally unflattering. The back is pretty though, but I think you could easily find a back-less dress that is better quality around this price point.
Always be There, $89: This one was sooooo unflattering on me. It makes me look boob-less. The quality of the garment is nice enough - if I saw a bride in it, I wouldn't automatically think "cheap wedding dress." It actually has some boning in the bodice and rubbery little strips to prevent a titty fallout. I could see someone with more curves rocking this one.
Forever and Always, $92: Surprisingly nice quality, just not for me. Feels a little boho and I think it would go really well in an outdoor, wooded ceremony. The lining is really good quality and it just feels well-made. There are also illusion panels down the side which add just a bit of sexiness to the look. However, it is not stretchy at all, so size up. Especially if you have a large chest.
Song of Love, $100: This one looks very elegant. The slit is high, but not quite too high. The only problem (besides it being too small for me) is that I cannot lift my arms. It would be hard to dance in. The quality is nice, it's the same material as the Infinite Glory dress. It also has those rubber bits to prevent a wardrobe malfunction on the bust line.
Greatest Love Story, $85: Oh my this one was so unflattering. Ironically, this was the dress that inspired me to put in a large order! The slit goes right up the middle (wtf?!) and is waaaay too high. I would be flashing grandmas and aunts and uncles left and right! Definitely does not feel like a wedding dress, either. The quality is fine, same material as the Song of Love and Infinite Glory, it's just really un-bridal.
I love the idea of giving my bridesmaids a color scheme and telling them to get whatever dress they love, and of course because of an instagram ad I saw I have been browsing Lulu’s. I really like that I can just search by color and there’s tons of different options. They look reasonable and cute - has anyone tried them and what was the consensus?
There are several Lulus wedding dresses I absolutely love. Considering ordering a bunch and then returning the ones I don’t want (hoping to be able keep 1 winner). Anyone do something similar and have experience they can share? Of the dresses themselves, sizing, return process, etc. TIA!
Lulus is having a labour day week sale for 40% off their sale items. You can filter through their sale section for white dresses and your size and theirs tons of options that could work for a wedding for even $30~.
The caveat is that they're final sale though :(
I have a wedding to attend in late April. Most of the dresses I am eyeing for purchase for the event are from Lulu’s.
My problem is I won’t know my exact measurements by the date of the wedding, because I’m on a weight loss journey, but I’m fairly certain I will be right around the L-XL size criteria by the wedding. For reference, right now, I swear a size 16 in jeans and I usually get my tops in XL.
I also really want to know if this is one of those brands that “runs small” and if their measurements are even accurate. It suck’s to buy an XL that really should have been labeled a medium!
Does anyone in the L-XL size category have any suggestions or opinions on this? Is this brand reliable or should I go with another one?
Has anyone ordered a wedding dress from Lulu’s? How was the experience? I’m so tempted because they look beautiful and are budget friendly but interested to hear more about the quality.

For my wedding dress I don’t plan on going to David’s Bridal for financial reasons, but I have heard of Lulu’s. Just curious if anyone on here has gotten a dress from the site or knows anyone that has that would be able to give their opinion!
I love Lulu’s, I get almost ALL of my formal dresses from them. Great quality for the price! They come really long though and will need to be hemmed unless you’re 6ft tall lol
I love Lulu's! Not all their dresses are perfect quality, but their dresses have a lot of reviews that will point you in the right direction, and they have a good return policy
Hi all! I just downsized my originally planned “traditional” wedding into a small ceremony and dinner and I want a more casual dress. Some of the dresses on Lulus are super cute and seem to be what I’m looking for, but I’m very wary of ordering a wedding dress online? Has anyone used this site for their wedding dress, what what was your experience? I should note that my wedding was originally planned for May 2022 and is now in September of this year so I don’t really have time for a more “traditional” wedding dress shopping experience (at least this is what I’ve been told)
Has anyone bought dresses from Lulu’s? are they a legit site? Dress quality?
Hi everyone - I’ve tried on a bunch of dresses from Lulus over the last week and thought I’d share my experience. Over all, I’ve been impressed with the quality and fit considering their price range, and I’m almost certainly going to go with one of their dresses.
The returns process is easy and you have 21 days from delivery to return them.
The quality can occasionally be a little inconsistent (for example, I ordered a dress once, returned it, and then reordered the same dress and the one of the seams on the one I ordered for the second time was a little wonky) but that’s to be expected with the price!
Happy to answer any questions
Hello! I got married this past weekend and I wanted to share my experience with a Lulu’s dress since I see it brought up in this subreddit so often. I bought it last summer and took it to a local seamstress for alterations a few months ago. I absolutely love how it looked and received so many compliments at my wedding. People could not believe it when I told them where I got it. I did spend $320 on alterations (hem, taking in the sides from under the armpits all the way down to the waist, and darting in the back to make it fit tighter over my lower back). But still, less than $500 total on a wedding dress is pretty darn good! I am a 34F in the chest, size 10-12 (US) in pants, and 5’6” and I ordered an XL based on their size guide. Second photo shows what it looked like before any alterations. It did need quite a few but in the end it fit like a glove!
Looking for beachy, flowy, budget. And they have a lot of options. Any exprience? Looking to buy a bunch, try on, return the ones I dont like.
