What is the Rolls Royce of kitchen sinks?
We have a black Silgranit sink, and for the most part we like it - even after 5 years of use.
It does have a few issues, but they are manageable.
First, if you have hard water, the sink will get a white tinge to it, easily removable with various hard water cleaning products. I am able to remove it easily if I scrub the sink weekly with Softscrub cleaner.
Second, if you leave a pot or a dish in the sink, in the morning, the area around the pot dries out, but the area under the pot does not - leaving a dark circle in the sink. It does eventually go away (over night), but it was very alarming the first time it happened.
It looks just as good as it did the day it was installed - no chips, scratches or stains.
