A: That amp is severely over rated in output power. B: I would consider MA Audio to be a lower tier brand. Probably better than Pyle and Pyramid though. Personally, I'd get something else. Just a few amps down is a Clarion model that looks pretty decent for only a few dollars more.

May 13, 2003 - MA audio is a higher end product than Mobile authority. That's like saying Lanzar and Pyramid are the same. I personnally like MA Audio. I have three of there amps and I like them.

Very similar sound to JL Audio subs, only difference is they produce more of a waa-waa type sound. Cones are very flexible but this also enables them to produce very deep, strong bass.

I bought one of these beasts and built a cubic ft. sealed cab for the back seat of my car and I am now pushing it w/ 500w rms and this monster hits A LOT harder than the 2 infinity's I had with the same amp.......once this starts hitting the rear view mirror starts shaking to the point of uselessness......there is a definite difference in sound quality and quantity from this very under-rated sub due to the fact that you can push up to 600 w rms through it......the only thing is, if your making your own enclosures, keep in mind these things are MASSIVE and heavy ( to the tune of 28 lbs shipping weight ).....overall one of the best deals i have ever had and would do it again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone

MA Audio has the finest spokesmodel (Nichole) around!!! I'm a dumb young-adult male that will be stupid enough to buy into that crap! My buddy Mark had two MA Audio 8s in a high-tuned ported enclosure in his Monte Carlo.
