The solution is a bit frustrating (TL;DT: U need the bootable USB stick with actual macOS). But for those dealing with the same issue, here's the outcome: none of these fixes worked for me. Attempting to restore macOS from Time Machine backups, both from an external HDD and internal snapshots (who knew those even existed?) Resetting NVRAM Trying to install an older version of macOS and then updating to the latest Monterey I thought I was in a bit of a safe zone once I realized I had a bootable macOS USB stick, but then another problem appeared: it had High Sierra on it. After numerous failed attempts to update from High Sierra to Monterey, I kept getting the error "The Recovery Server Could Not Be Contacted." Ended up creating a Monterey USB stick from another MacBook Pro because High Sierra refused to download it. After nearly 12 hours, my Mac is finally back online. Thanks for the headache, Apple. Definitely reconsidering sticking with this "reliablitiy" in the future. More on reddit.com

Hello to all, so the thing is i upgraded my disk (Macbook Air 2017) to 1tb ssd m.2 (samsung), Its all working fine and with no problems. But since not so long ago, the systems its telling me theres a new update (and without the recent update i cant log in my icloud).
My question here is, If i update the system, will my mac fail to recognize my 1tb disk? Or theres no problem at all? IF theres someone here that has already done these, i would appreciate your advice.

Today, I thought I’d be smart and update my Mac 6,1 to the latest MacOS Monterey version (12.7.4). But guess what? It failed miserably. Time Machine couldn’t save my ass. What a freaking mess. Now I need to spend the next two hours downloading MacOS again and restoring everything.

I feel your pain, I updated from 12.7.3 yesterday and now my Finder won't download my files. Apparently, I need to keep checking my internet connection. Which is fine! Any ideas?!
