macOS Monterey is crap!
Is there any reason I shouldn't upgrade to macOS Monterey?
I have to reluctantly conclude: macOS Monterey is a horrible product, quality-wise | MacRumors Forums
macOS Monterey 12.7 update issues
I have MacBook Air M1 16GB. Everything was buttery smooth on macOS Big Sur but after updating to macOS Monterey my laptop started to work slower and I can feel it.
Sometimes scrolling in Safari, Telegram is REALLY choppy and switching between desktops is laggy too. Also some apps crash on Monterey.
I really HATE this macOS release. It's CRAP. Apple, please, stop hiring bad coders!!!
I think I'm going to downgrade back to Big Sur.
Am I the only one who has bad performance in Monterey?
I just picked up a 2015 MacBook Pro (13.3", i5, 8GB, 256GB) for $25 and this is my first time actually owning a Mac of any kind (I'm plenty familiar with them and 100% prefer my PCs, but I thought for $25 it'd be a neat little thing just to mess around with because I like tech stuff). It's currently running Big Sur and is able to upgrade to Monterey.
Is there any reason I may not want to do that, or is it just fine/recommended that I do? The reason I ask is because I know stuff running slightly older software can run better on the older one and upgrading to the last version available is sometimes more of a curse on the device than anything else, like with some older iPhones and newer (relatively speaking) versions of iOS
Has anybody had issues with 12.7 bricking some Mac’s? I have an issue where some Mac’s are failing to boot and trying to automatically load recovery.
