Hello! The most recent price check post I could find was from half a year ago, so thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. I'm considering buying a used 2021 16" MacBook Pro M1 Max / 1TB / 64GB RAM / 10 CPU / 32 GPU for $1740. The battery is at 89% and has only been through 108 cycles.
Is this a fair price to pay or should I look for a better deal?

Hi. I just bought an M1 Pro MacBook pro 2021 16 inch 16gb 1TB for about 840 USD in Japan. It's in Extremely good condition with the original box and all accessories it came with. Battery cycle count :56 Battery capacity: 97%
Is it worth the price and is it still a good machine in 2025 mid? Had to upgrade since I broke my 2015 MBP 15"s screen. Thanks in advance.
512GB SSD, 16GB RAM and battery has 139 cycles with 93% health. This thing is a beast and the display is beautiful! Other than a little bit of gooch between some keys, it is in great condition.
Is it foolish of me to consider buying a new M1 MacBook Pro 16” now? Microcenter is selling for $1299 but I’m wondering will I regret buying this since single core performance of m1 lags greatly behind that of m3 (at least according to synthetic benchmarks ). I primarily web browse so I assume single core performance trumps multi core.
While I aspire to edit videos in Final Cut Pro and davinci, such pursuits will not occur often.
If single core will give me better responsiveness for web browsing and non “pro” heavily multithreaded applications then I may instead buy a 14” m3 MacBook Pro with the base 8 core cpu and 16gb ram and 512gb storage . This model is on sale for $1499.
Thanks.
