I searched all last winter and found nothin worth while. I JUST (two weeks ago) bought a set from Macy’s online. I searched clearance. I didn’t want to buy a crappy Home Depot set that I would have to replace in 5 years. I bought an all aluminum set that will weather well here in the northeast. I bought the set for half price. Originally $2,000 for $1,000. Full table, 6 chairs, end table and umbrella stand. This is the time, I think. Most stores want to get this stuff out of their inventory now. Additionally, about 4 years ago my wife and I had to get two new umbrellas for our patio sets (one smaller by he pool and one larger one for our outdoor dining set). In he previous year we had bought the cheap, $75-$125 umbrellas from sears/Home Depot. Every year at the end of the year we had to throw it out. Either the color had faded so bad or a piece had broken that was prohibitively expensive to fix. This year we decided to spend the money and buy a “good” umbrella. We spent about $750 altogether and bought two umbrellas from Ballard. In my head this was 4 years worth assuming two umbrellas averaging $100 each for 4 years. Both of he umbrellas had “Sunbrella” canvas and sturdy frames. BOTH look like new to this day and neither have had problems with their hardware. I consider this a win, seeing as it has paid for itself, assuming I can use it next year as well. Just a thought. I see this as an area where spending more money is worth it. More on reddit.com

Ive got no problem giving you all a drink, but from the consumer side I dont owe you a tip. I bought the product and paid for the delivery. You arent paid like a food service employee where your wage is subsidized by tips.

This is one of those things where going used can get you quality at a low price. Good patio furniture that lasts costs thousands of dollars and is well worth it. Keep an eye out on estate/moving sales and fb market place/Craigslist/OfferUp etc. I bought a $3000 set for $400 this way More on reddit.com
