TL;DR
Quebec is a global leader in central vacuum systems, with brands like Cyclovac and Drainvac made right here. If you're shopping for a portable or stick vacuum, it's harder to find something fully local—but buying from Canadian retailers still helps support the local economy.

New upright vacuum owner! I am looking for an upright that would help me pick up my sweet husky fur...he shed ALOT especially in the summer :) We have hard floor / tiles throughout the house, id like to get your thoughts on shark, bissell and Hoover. I prefer to get it at Canadian tires because of the points
Looking for a stick vacuum. Not a lightweight one, has to have a power head. It’s for carpet that is constantly walked on with outdoor shoes.
If you like yours, what brand is it and where did you purchase it?
No Dyson’s please, they’re too much $$.
I'm looking for something to supplement my Roomba at home. I'm looking for something to help with vacuuming spaces the Roomba can't get to, such as corners, crevices, anything above floor height, or just for spot cleaning. I'm not sure if I should just go for the cheap Bissell Zing II which would cost ~100 cad, spring for the $500 Miele from Costco, or for something in between.

Another option would be to just go for a cheap cordless stick vacuum instead as my jobs are pretty small. I've used Tineco in the past with great results as I have dust allergies and vacuuming dust form surfaces is miles better for me than any other form of dusting.
Mostly wondering if paying more for Miele is worth the investment!
