You’re going to look way worse in a magnifying mirror than a regular mirror it’s just how it is lol it’ll make you see imperfections that the naked eye wouldn’t even pick up. More on reddit.com

I checked the recently threads about recommendations for makeup mirrors.
Does anyone have any recommendations for the brightest mirrors?
I’m mostly worried about mimicking cool/ fluorescent lighting in an office setting. I’ve found cool tone mirrors on amazon but I’m struggling to find something that is bright enough. Meaning, the bulbs don’t really emit much light.
Should I just buy a ring light and set it behind the mirror? Am I approaching this problem wrong? Open to any advice.

I ordered the Jerdon trifold makeup mirror two and a half years ago and have been very very happy with it. It has four different lighting settings. I'm visually impaired so I can't really put on eye makeup without a makeup mirror and I've been very happy with this one. I got it on amazon.

I have bad eyesight so I’m looking for recommendations for a reliable, makeup mirror with magnification and light. I would like a mirror with normal magnification as well as 5x or 10x magnification. Suggestions on whether 5x or 10x is better would also be helpful. I’m in Australia. Thanks!

The products that I am using as color bases are bare minerals complexion rescue and Concealer from makeup by Mario. After I put them on and blend and blend and blend I feel like it looks spotty in the 10x and I can’t seem to make it perfect whether I use my finger, and sponge or a brush. Is this just because there’s too much magnification that I’m seeing every little spot? My base looks wonderful in every other mirror including my car mirror just not on this one.

Who's going to be looking at you at 10x magnification? Anyone? Nope. If you look fine in a normal mirror, your makeup is fine irl. I've used 5x magnification for doing eye makeup without glasses, but I have the good sense to look away after! Looking at a magnified view of your face is torture.

Recently, I've been at a hotel where they had this illuminated magnifying mirror and doing my makeup was soooo much easier using it!
So I thought it would be nice to have one at home but ideally I'd like one that I would be able to take with me when I'm traveling.
Does anyone have any experience with them?

Have you seen the glamcor/riki products? Some of their mirrors can be really expensive but the handheld LEDs might be what you are looking for. I have their "colorful" and it serves as mirror, led light and storage for depotted makeup, and it's become my holy grail for traveling with makeup.
