TLDR: it will impact negatively just a bit, maybe so little you don’t notice. Don’t worry about it and use the phone and battery pack how you like ENTIRE RESPONSE: Nothing is safe even normal charging will degrade it. By using the battery pack to make the 80% last as long as possible you are effectively keeping the phone plugged in for a few hours without going over or under 80%. It won’t benefit it. The battery will just last a little bit less, maybe days maybe months who knows. But don’t worry the battery will outlast the time you use the phone. My older iPhone 7 has still a battery that I can live with tough I have to charge it at the mid of the day using a powerbank. For example in a year you will go down to 85% battery condition instead of 90%. Yes it can impact resell value but I wouldn’t bother much about it. More on reddit.com

TLDR All phone manufacturers use Ah as unit of energy because all Li-Ion batteries have 3.7 V on average (which is still misleading anyway). While the true unit for energy would be Wh (V*Ah).
