Magsafe vs Wired Charging
Using a 30w USB C power adaptor official Apple wall plug with the official Apple MagSafe charger? | MacRumors Forums
Magsafe Charging with >30W Power Block
Finally got my magbak bridge and 30w pd car charger. Makes MagSafe charger mountable to the magstick which means Apple MagSafe case can now magnet to my dash. Just disappointed how slow MagSafe is on the car charger.
Just received a reply from magbak they say I should be getting a 15w charge, will have to test it again.
Edit. Tried it again. Getting 13watts, same as the Apple brick. Awesome! Must say every product I’ve had from magbak I have been very pleased with. I think my phone may have been hot yesterday when I was only getting 3w
More on reddit.comHi first of all, sorry if this has been discussed before and i’m still new to magsafe ecosystem but still would like to know..
Other than easy to use, aesthetic & minimalist, why some people prefer magsafe charging rather than the wired charging ?
Because a review on youtube shown that the time taken for magsafe charging is almost triple the time for wired charging
I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max and just purchased the Apple MagSafe charger (25w)
Looking to understand what power block is ideal for fast charging and if going above the recommended 30W power block could harm battery health.
I have a 65W dual port Anker Power Block - if I use this with the Magsafe charger, will this:
A) fast charge at a similar rate as a 30W
B) have any impact on battery health for the phone?
Appreciate the help!
