This has to stop: Petition to get rid of AI and 3D renders on Makerworld
How Do I Report AI-Generated Models on Makerworld?

I want to start this with the hope we will be able to get rid of chatgpt images and fusion 360 renders on Makerworld.
Everyday countless designers post very good models on Makerworld that are gatekept traction thanks to low quality bad models that can be made on fusion in literally 20 seconds, just enanched 100 times thanks to AI images or Renderings.
The user in the image is one of the most popular "designers" on the website, and yet none of the images he has as cover of the model is real.
u/bambulab, what is the point of this? Why someone like me spends time to create a good design that ACTUALLY looks good once printed, arranges a place to take photos of it, lighting etc. just to make a giftcard in an year, and some of this kind of people make printers in a week by showing the public something that isn't even close to the real print.
Then they will excuse themselfs saying to "shut up and read the rules, nothing against it", and proceed to block you on Makerworld.
A simple change of rules banning the creators from using renders is needed, without taking away the points they made so far, because it's not right, but giving them a warning and 2 weeks to comply.
It's time to change this everyone. I can't be the only one despising the rendering and AI in something that has no place. Makerworld is no place of AI images or AI models. Let's change that.
Hi, I wanted to ask what the proper way is to report those AI-generated models on Makerworld that keep popping up.
They make it really hard to find actually useful models. It’s obvious that these are AI-generated and have never been printed. The images are clearly rendered and provide zero value — they’re only uploaded to farm Makerworld points and make money.
Under which category/reason should I report this so Makerworld will finally remove them quickly?
Honestly its just annoying to see ai generated images of models, I feel like a lot of people just upload for the points and not to give back to the community, not that anything is wrong with that. But when you do that and continue to mislead people with AI generated images it's just insane. I feel like prusa is only a little bit better because they show an AI generated tag on most AI models. Although i haven't personally seen an AI model on thingiverse.
I am only now realizing that the photos i just attached are all from the same person but i have seen more from many others.
For those of you that have been successful with getting the AI scanner to work:
What format video file are you uploading?
Have you found any particular conditions that make it say unsupported format or broken video?
I've been trying to get a video render using an android phone with mp4 format. I've seen others suggesting they're used mp4 files, so I'm wondering if the video is too dark or some other condition that I need to adjust to get this to work.
Was having a gander at some contest entries and noticed some pretty obviously AI generated models being entered, but it’s also everywhere in general. One account I noticed from a competition has nearly 50 models that have the AI generated image as the cover image and a photo of the actual print afterward.
In some cases the print is mostly accurate, but most of them are obviously completely different models and all of them are printed shartedly. Some don’t even have print photos. Some are physically impossible.
Users mention printing flaws on the side of the model that wasn’t shown in the print photo. Then the descriptions are all identical promoting commercial licenses for their models and promising guaranteed profits to people who buy them. Nothing about the actual model is mentioned.
I’ve seen lots of accounts like this that have a similar upload process. AI can be great for making models, don’t get me wrong, but this sort of effortless mass uploading that still manages to generate boosts seems to be becoming more common.
