I tried one of those relief sculpture things on maker and when its loaded into the slicer everything looks normal, there's a flat piece to the back, everything looks great.
But when I slice it there's suddenly no back there anymore and there's supports going through where the back was like it suddenly vanished during slicing.
Anyone know what's going on with it?
EDIT- I have noticed that the way tis brought into the slicer is standing up (meaning it would take over a day to do this way) but doesn't have the back issue compared to if its laying flat its only a couple hour print but the back disappears?
I'm experimenting with the Relief sculpture Maker on Maker World I was able to print one a while back that lacked detail because I didn't know anything about layer heights.
I have a .2mm nozzle now and tried to make a circular sculpture with frame. It appears the frame has the gyroid infill I chose, but the relief itself barely infills at all. My first print failed completely, I tried to do adaptive variable layer height for the second. I got a print, but there are issues. See pics below.
The pic in the website:
During printing, I paused to get this shot--you can see across the circle it's just straight lines.
Finished print, you can see some holes:
From behind you can see light through it:
