Thank you, I was ready to post something related to this here :) Edit: Btw, if you run this command and nothing changes it's because yay is using the cache and not building the app again. To solve that go to $HOME/.cache/yay/ and remove the lib32-mangohud and the mangohud folders, then run this command again, now it will build from scratch. This solved the issue for me. I was struggling to get mangohud to work on steam. i tried some commands, but they either don't work(MANGOHUD=1 %command%) or the game (tf2) doesn't boot(mangohud gamemoderun %command%). I am new to archlinux and i use plasma desktop on wayland.

If you are on Arch or an Arch based distro and you updated today you may have noticed that all of your games that you use Mangohud stopped working. Because of the latest fmt update you need to rebuild your Mangohud AUR packages to work again (it won't happen automatically). This can be done like this for example:
yay -S mangohud mangohud-common lib32-mangohud
You only need to rebuild the Mangohud packages you actually have installed of course.

That's TWO times this week a thing on my install stopped working and it was entirely not my fault lol. First grub broke and now my games stopped launching. I actually managed to troubleshoot both myself which is good, but it's weird that things were breaking lol.

September 8, 2025 - Do you mean Section 3.5 Run Steam with MangoHud? In my case, on Manjaro Stable, MangoHud will not be shown on any Dolphin windows, I'm not sure if that matters, but I run it with mangohud steam. You can adding specific programs to blacklist in mangohud config.
