We bought sheets of 2” marble hex tile for a bathroom remodel but since then it seems everything I read, especially re using it in bathrooms, comes back to “you’ll regret it” or the person currently regretting it due to staining.
Does anyone love theirs? Any compelling reasons not to back out? I wondered if it being smaller tiles with more grout lines would help mitigate the problems with discolouring any but maybe I’m still deluding myself.
Also, if it’s relevant: it’s the only bathroom in the house and we currently have a (girl) toddler with a boy on the way so... possible pee issues all over the marble in about 2.5 years once he’s old enough to potty train.
edit: I should’ve titled this “given the caveats about marble softness/porosity and recommended maintenance, do any of you actually still love it?” but that seemed long lol. I also otherwise did a bad job explaining I was aware of some of the hang ups in the post itself. So given that, anyone willing to share their opinions? And thanks to those who’ve already commented!
