It's soft compared to ceramic so just be aware it will scratch and chip easier than ceramic or porcelain. I'd also ask for a few extra tiles to have on the off chance you need to replace one down the line. It's generally harder to source replacements to match natural stone.

Be prepared to seal it at least once a year, and keep plenty of extra tiles for when someone inevitably drops something and cracks/chips/breaks/scratches them. Personally I hate marble and would never recommend it to anyone, for any room. It's typically very soft and requires high maintenance. I would prefer a good quality porcelain for the kitchen. Don’t do it. Marble, being a natural stone, is soft and porous. It’s a maintenance nightmare when used in high traffic areas. And these will be getting snow on them regularly? And salt? No. They’re going to stain and etch and unless you’re okay with the look of stained, etched marble (which some people are - you kind of have to be) you’re going to drive yourself crazy trying to keep them looking pristine. I’d recommend a good quality porcelain tile for an entry foyer. It will stand up really well. You can find porcelain tile with faux carerra marble veining if you really want that look. Try never to use an acidic cleaning product on natural stone (vinegar is acetic acid). Dilute dish soap or ammonia and water are cool. For natural stone I prefer Miracle 511 sealer. More on reddit.com
